Fast forward 10 years from now, what happens when you can't access technology that relies on the internet or a computer? If those dependencies are gated, what then?
To be honest, I do use GrapheneOS, but my government still has guns. It seems we are moving toward a future where everyday devices and technology become increasingly limited or very hard to access. I'd love to have a genuine, curious discussion about this with you all.

Take iOS 26.4, the first update to introduce the Age Verification in compliance with the Digital Service Act and forthcoming legal frameworks in your country. By the time you realized, it was too late.
WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger (laughable), and perhaps even Telegram and Viber cannot be trusted. WeChat and Line, no comment.
Signal, the gold standard, may not be enough but it is something even your parents could at least begin to use and is better than nothing. Privacy is an absolute human right, as fundamental as the freedom to transact.
