Turns out the wood heap is no match for a startled chook - Beans managed to collapse quite a lot of wood.
They were both up on top of it avoiding the dog from next door who would NOT go home, so after some shouting and whatnot, and getting fairly soaked in the rain, I did manage to get them into the chook shed with their scraps, but not before Beans sent quite a lot of wood flying.
Millie, having seen it happen, took a more demure approach to getting to ground level.
