Love that DIY 2nd hose, hahah. I mean... yes with just one hose it's inefficient, but it's doing the job for us today, which is to be the hottest day here.
I had been using it just before bedtime to dump the heat out of the top of the house, but today I'm leaving it running all day to try and keep the overall heat in the house down. It's going to cost us electricity wise but worth it.
