I'm really glad that Cory Doctorow (npub1fdr…lvhs) mentioned mastodon along with other social media in his interview with John Stewart (it was a very good interview and I think it will be very educational for a lot of nice liberal people) it was also funny and upbeat, because that's what Stewart does well.
We might need to educate a lot of people about alternative media, about tech issues like why showing your ID to just use the internet is a terrible idea and won't make kids safe.
