The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy text-based adventure game not only had a manual in the box, but it also came with a "Don't Panic" pin/button, some "No tea" (a cotton ball in a tea bag), and the microscopic fleet (a clear, empty, plastic bag with the label of contents). There might have been something else too, but those are the items I remember.
