I have not checked in on how my favorite state (CO) is doing regarding wildfires this year. ☹️
2012 was an especially bad year in my memory. I was still living at altitude, and driving up the canyon I could often see small fires off on distant ridges. I always wondered if one would reach us. (Then there was the 2013 flood, a few months after I moved back to KS -- and somehow I felt guilty for leaving? So weird!)
