There are very few privileges women (at least women who conform sufficiently to gendered standards of appearance set by society) have relative to men, but one I think we do have is being allowed to enjoy being round children without being assumed to be a creep. A couple of months ago my wife and I grabbed a coffee at the gym, and the table we happened to perch at overlooked the pool where some kids' swimming activity was going on. And we ended up watching them because it was lovely seeing them enjoying themselves, it was only afterwards that I realised we probably wouldn't have been able to do that without anything being assumed about our intentions if we'd been male. Watching children having fun is genuinely delightful, and it's sad the way men don't really get to do that.
As a single man in my 50s with no children I cannot say this in public, but the best sound in the world is young children playing outside. The squeals of delight as they are totally lost in a moment with no other cares is just amazing & something you never get from an adult.
