Now, after more than 12 hours of sleep, I still feel like the biggest piece of shit. The last time I felt even something remote like this was when a loved one killed themself. I'll tell you why it hurts so much: I made this my personality. I am the Bitcoin guy to everyone who knows me. I made friends and family invest most if not all they had into something I told them was safe. We had a good run over the last 10 years, and I thought Coldcards were awesome. The ease with which you can handle everything airgapped made me think it was all good and so easy. Now my whole Bitcoin personality is destroyed. What a night. When I read the Stacker News article, I got nervous at 01:30 a.m. At around 02:00 a.m I realized that I couldn't sleep. At 02:30 a.m I drove to my first location, only to see the funds drained. I wasn't nervous anymore I had a real panic attack and puked multiple times. Over the next few hours, I drove to each location, collecting stuff and sending it to a single fucking Opendime I still had available. At 09:00, I had to go to sleep.
