The next challenge at home is going to be moving to a more vegetable-centric meals menu. It's going to be a challenge because our kids are quite fussy about veg, and they don't accommodate this kind of changes too well. Also, time during the week for cooking is somewhat limited.
So I would appreciate some recipes and links to sites where I can find more info on how to succeed on this, bonus points if the food is packed-lunch-friendly.

I made the transition to fully #decaf at home, and it's been a couple of months of only drinking caffeinated coffee occasionally, at cafés or in the office (so maybe once or twice per week, which is orders of magnitude less than what I drank before), and...
I don't feel any different, to be honest. I'm not sure what had I expected, maybe something like sleeping better, or feeling less tired, but no, everything feels exactly the same.
I'm not going back to caffeinated coffee, but still, I'm slightly disappointed 😅

Credits rolling for #NineSols.
What an absolute gem of a game. Itcs one of the best combat systems I've seen in a #metroidvania, and the boss battles are extremely well crafted.
Exploration wise, it's fairly linear but biomes are interesting and full of details. Visually, it is gorgeous, and the soundtrack is beautiful. And last but not least, the story is super interesting, with a couple of twists.
Needless to say, this one is going to be on my GOTYs list 🥰🥰🥰

I'm struggling to finish #SuperMarioRPG (the original, SNES version) because, deapite the charming characters and silly acenes, I'm finding the game quite boring. The little plot there is is not particularly exciting, and the combat is as plain and repetitive as it gets.
I'm now heading for the sixth star and I really hope it doesn't drag too much after that because otherwise I'm going to fall asleep 😅

Did I spend my entire lunch break figuring out how to defeat Yingzhao in #NineSols?
Of course I did! But wow, the fight has been amazing. It is really intense, and you have to measure really well the parry window, or you'll get your ass kicked really hard! I've loved it.

Ok, second boss? Way more tricky than the first one. It took me a handful of tries to start getting the move set figured out, but in this case it got cut shourt due to... Well, a quite anticlimactic ending 😅

I've started playing #NineSols and... Oh yes, this is 100% up my alley. The first boss was quite simple and straightforward (and despite everything he got me once), but I've heard this thing gets really tough so I'm looking forward to it 🥰

One of the Kickstarter projects I backed ages ago, #SounosCurse, was finally released and I got my Steam key.
And I was going to play it but it turns out that it's a #metroidvania that doesn't have a map!! Of course players have complained and devs are working on implementing it... But that means that I'm not going to play the game until the patch is out.
Because seriously, how do you play a modern MV without a map?

I'm fucking never buying anything from Evans Cycles again, and you shouldn't either.
It's the second time in three weeks that a spoke in the rear wheel snaps, and they're refusing to replace a clearly faulty wheel because, even though I bought the bike in April, they say the warranty doesn't cover wheels (manufacturer website says 2 years!).
I should fight them and exercise my rights as consumer, but in the meanwhile I'm the one fucked up left without my main means of transportation.

I just heard about "walking bikes" and the first and main question that pops in my head is "Why?"
The are much larger than regular bicycles, probably less stable to use (as you're shifting your entire body weight on the treadmill), surely maintenance has to be much more expensive, and they don't seem to offer the flexibility of a conventional bike.
So am I missing an obvious use case here, or is this another case of "too busy with whether or not they could to stop and think if they should"?

Anyone with #ADHD kids has any experience with word processors at school? We're considering the Freewrite Alpha, or maybe the cheaper option of getting an Asus Eee and forcing it to be a word processor only, but I would like to hear from someone else who's tried these things before.
My youngest one struggles with handwriting, her brain goes way faster than her hand, and by the time she writes something down she has already thought and forgotten the next three sentences...

I've played a handful of missions of #LostKingdoms, a Game Cube game made by FromSoft and it is... interesting.
It's an RPG where you collect cards, each card summons a monster (with their corresponding elemental affinity) and that's what your character uses to fight (never directly). Your deck of cards only refreshes after each mission, so if you mismanage and run out early, you're done for.
It's a bit like real-time Pokemon battles, but with a generic fantasy setting.

Maybe I should go back and complete #Afterimage... I was not having too much fun with it, but I wouldn't mind completing it.
The only thing is... Why do people keep saying this metroidvania is also a souls-like? Combat does not get much easier than what this one has to offer.

A mí me parece increíble que la gente esté venga a dar la turra con que a ver para cuándo la Nintendo Swirch 2... desde que la original tenía poco más de un año.

Credits rolling for #TheKnightWitch!
After another hour of trying and failing miserably, I've ended up using one of the cheat codes in the game to have enemies dropping health from time to time, and with that I've been able to finish! It would have been impossible otherwise.
Great game, fun gameplay, a beautiful message wuth several layers to it... Just a bit let down by the brutally difficult final boss, and I would have appreciated a fast travel system, the game needs it!

I've been trying the demo of #AlteredAlma and it's really enjoyable! I like how they have a similar mechanic to the one in #EdensGuardian, i.e. the teleporting blade, but it feels very different and still very fun and fluid!
Anyway, two super interesting Spanish metroidvanias to look forward to!

I wish that the employees at the studio responsible fir #Concord are not impacted by whatever happens next after the flop of the game but I really don't have high hopes.

I see yet another article of a CEO forcing people back to the office because of random bullshit, and I'm thinking that this happens because "work hours" are counted from the time the employee starts their shift, and overtime is unpaid. If commuting times were factored into the contractual working hours and overtime was paid, you would see all CEOs running to enforce remote work and strict ends of shifts. But since all that extra time comes out of your off-work hors, they don't give a fuck.

My daughter has really liked a beat em up game she has played, but we didn't manage to write down the name... It's inspired by Journey to the West, and it allows up to four players. This is the only picture I have about it which, I know, doesn't help much. The art style is pixel art with cartoons style, and it allows for up to four players.
