More generally I've noticed that "trauma aware" circles are lightyears ahead MAHA commentators on how the "mental health" complex has been used to silence victims of abuse.
Peter Breggin is a reference for some of it given his work, but there seems to be a broader movement and history that doesn't seem to totally overlap with post-covid medical freedom circles.

Art is about the choices we make
Making things myself has changed the way I appreciate other people’s work. I used to understand the word “appreciate” as establishing the value of something. I thought that appreciating a Van Gogh painting meant seeing why Starry Night is so damn popular, because if you don’t, something is just wrong with you.
Only since recently do I understand appreciation in the sense of love and gratitude. Failing to paint one landscape after another make me appreciate just how difficult it is to convey emotion in just a few brush strokes.

My life philosophy can be summed up to “work hard to be lazy” - in this case, that means I want a solution for social media sharing (OpenGraph) images that I will work without me needing to think about them again. This way, when a link is shared to Bluesky, Mastodon, LinkedIn, or other platforms, a reasonable image will be shown – even if I didn’t include an image for the article.

I think they are trying to build some level of UFO legitimacy, so that they can use them as a viable excuse in the near future.
I agree with you on this, which is partially why I specified the discussion around space aliens itself. The UFO discussion overlaps, but I would argue is a very different beast.
A knowledgeable friend of mine has argued that many UFO cults have had documented ties to the US Navy. But I can't help but assume a lot of the whacky UFO-worship activities are human manipulation experiments.

@nprofile…2qes I believe that a lot of psyops aren't actually one-sided buy are really red/blue team exercises. I think the modern propaganda mechanisms involve not necessarily moving people to a desired point, but more about maximizing malleability.
Space aliens as a topic is one of many examples where people's beliefs has hardly any impact on state policy, so it's the perfect experimental terrain for testing/improving propaganda techniques.

Not a particularly spicy take, but here goes:
I think Lunduke has a net-negative effect on the FOSS community.
By damaging the reputation (deserved or not) of major projects, he alienates more people than he converts.
Worse, I think he drives the very division he claims to be wanting to eliminate.
I would not be surprised if many FOSS projects become more overtly hostile (or at least defensive) in light of past engagement.
I worry that he is leveraging long-standing resentment (justified or not) to attack FOSS, rather than to actually build it up to be what many of us would like it to be.
