no, other way around. paid relays are way better at spam filtering than free ones. free ones just try to collect and aggregate everything so they usually son't care about spam or moderate for it and leave that for the client. and most client only do very minimal filtering for CSAM and the like (but then there's a lot that don't even do that).
you can even run your own relay easily to help manage spam. check out relay.tools

look, i'n not trying to get caught up in examples - that's all the taraweeh point was meant to be. my point is it isn't a sunnah. RasulAllah never did taraweeh. so it can only become a part of Islam through an interpretive science which requires a logical framework. and yes, multiple frameworks exist. you can debate which is better all day if you want. i'm not interested in that. i'm pointing out that behind all the different sciences (alqeeda, hadith, fiqh, hikma, etc...) there is a logical foundation grounding all this discourse. and behind logic is metaphysics which is an even deeper and more important discussion that most people can never get to if they remain caught up in sectarian categorization.

righteousness is not limited to location and temporality. the sahaba undoubtedly had a special proximity but they were not more or less righteous than others. i've discussed this before over the past few months but the sunni position of the categorical elevation of the sahaba is logically equivalent to the shia doctrine of the infallibility of the imams. history proves both are likely wrong.
also, how do we know the greeks weren't muslim? they are pre-christian even and pre-socratic tradition is clearly one of tawhid (which is why some muslim scholars have claimed Plato may have been a prophet). there's a valid argument they could be ahl kitab even if you look at them as a European branch of Zoroastrianism.

evidence for taraweeh (and many other sunnan) are really just interpretation which again comes down to a logical framework. and no, if you've read any of my religious posts this year you know i don't buy the sahabah are the best alqeeda.
and i'm not disagreeing with you on asharis (though Ghazali did pen a silly fatwa calling Aristotelian philosophers kafr which is ironically kinda the root of the poison in this discussion), i might disagree with them personally as well but i don't think they are entirely wrong in their logic either and i know they don't believe or intend to be going against the Quran.
personally i came to islam via philosophy. reading the Quran many months later was only a confirmation of what i had already rationally understood from first principles. and i think it is important to recognize that this is how islam historically has spread. dawah in particular must come from a place of being able to have a dialogue with other religions and the foundation for this has been the greek philosophical tradition. otherwise you are stuck in polemic debates which aid no one but your nafs.

look i understand monetization is important as a business but nostr has been around for a few years now and current users expect that a client's basic features are free - that's kind of the point of nostr, that you own your identity. putting special features like the yakipro behind a subscription makes fine business sense but if someone wants to just log in and read messages and post a note they aren't going to stick around at $12/m (even for us american users that's a high price, i can't imagine global community can afford that). just look at folks like @npub1f4u…r407 who put in hard work to post and try to earn an income on nostr and who've put out their earnings publicly. no one is making that kind of money from posting on nostr. a lot of nostr users are bitcoiners too and seeing all this monetization talk in app around fiat rather than sound money is another turnoff. then there's the whole issue of the frost/pomegranate Google login which imo is a terrible idea. it was tried years ago with nsecapp and failed miserably. i personally lost keys to an account from it. the whole idea seems easy for a new user but is insanely technically complex and so easy to rug because it has the weakness of a "trusted" third party baked in and you end up in a situation where you never own your pubkey. see @npub175n…g6w0 great article on this:

end of the day, i love the new features! they are excellent enhancements and much needed in the nostr ecosystem. but it think the business model is going to turn OG nostr users to other clients and that's the sad part for me as someone who as championed Yakihonne for nearly 2 years - i don't feel like i can recommend it to new users for onboarding anymore. 😭
