Thinking back to when I first joined Nostr was such a nice welcoming space with some weird shit on Global feed like shower girl. Maybe it’s the bear market but it’s starting to become twitter vibes. People seem less and less open to arguing constructively to learn and just want to put down others they don’t agree with and frame them as their enemy. It’s crazy how quick ppl will switch up on you if you have any interest in Monero or trading or whatever is not “Bitcoin only” whatever that means.

There is nothing wrong with exiting a position and getting back in if it still has further upside and aligns with your investment approach. I get that stings to have timed it so poorly but obviously you had no idea about the press release so just some bad luck. Maybe it will correct tomorrow and go lower as some other investors might be looking to exit. I don’t know I don’t know anything about block. But like you said lesson learned.

I don’t know, this is my view. Saylor is a sociopathic salesman type, with the gift of the gab. He destroyed shareholder wealth in MSTR once during dot com that many seem to forget or ignore from what I understand it was largely due to accounting trickery. So bitcoin seems like the same play, hype and empty promises that will end in ruin for many. He dilutes MSTR to buy bitcoin which is an incredibly volatile asset it is not pristine collateral. He was selling a huge MSTR stack near the top. All the insiders moved to preferred shares. The basically created a company that turns common shareholder wealth into preferred shareholder wealth. If he believed in what he was doing he would not be selling MSTR stock. So it’s hard to believe anything he says at this point. Especially that MSTR can weather an extreme bear market. Everyone holding on is doing so because they think it’s going to the moon next cycle. It’s all hype. Yea and that’s without even thinking about paper bitcoin.

The information is widely distributed and available on line I don’t think there is much information arbitrage left. It’s literally on every major news outlet and financial media. The only information arbitrage left is non public between whales and large players IMO.

I thought we were breaking down early but we rebounded. I was short I had to cover and go long. My original projection was topping this Friday before the next leg down but these things never time out exactly so I incorrectly thought we were going lower. We could go as high as $76 and still break into a new low and stay with last cycle range. So I am still convinced we are going lower just might need to wait 1-2weeks.

Selling the bottom is also a bad idea unless you are doing it to tax loss harvest and buying right back in. hence why you need an emergency fund in cash so you’re never in that position where you have to sell. These are just basic concepts.

Same reason I said you should have cash in a bear market is to avoid doing something stupid like borrowing against it.
If you did your dollars are worth a lot more sats.
If you borrowed you likely got margin called still have debt payments and you bitcoin is worth half the dollars.

I honestly have no clue. I’m taking it one market cycle at a time. There are definitely trends that I would say are concerning but even if it’s captured they still need it to be volatile to make money off it. It will just evolve more and more into a fiat asset.
