I hear you & agree that Bitcoin does not magically fix human nature or guarantee peace. Power can consolidate under any system if people aren’t vigilant. The way I see it, fiat materially changes the incentive structure. When governments can create money at will, they can fund wars without immediately taxing their citizens or asking for explicit consent. The costs get diluted through inflation, debt issuance, and central bank balance sheets. That makes large-scale conflict easier to sustain and easier to politically sell.
Under a Bitcoin standard, that lever weakens. You can’t print sats to fund a war. You would have to tax directly or borrow real savings from people who consciously choose to part with scarce capital. That introduces friction & raises the political cost of prolonged conflict.
Is it a silver bullet? No. Of course it isn't because humans can still choose violence. But if the monetary base is credibly scarce and resistant to manipulation, the incentive to engage in endless, debt-financed warfare decreases. As famous Bitcoin hater Munger said "Show me the incentive and I'll show you the outcome".

Because money has a moral implication to it, & I believe Bitcoin is going to defund war & make it unprofitable to bomb others, & instead more profitable to cooperate & trade so I want to save as much of my money in the thing that pushes the world to be more peaceful and cooperative.

A Mafia Godfather finds out that his bookkeeper, Enzo, has cheated him out of 10 million bucks.

A high-IQ population can threaten a government, but not in the cartoon sense of rebellion or violence. The threat is structural and incentive-based, not kinetic.
From first principles, governments rely on three things:
• Legibility
• Narrative control
• Compliance at scale
A population with higher average cognitive ability stresses all three.
How the threat actually manifests:
• Reduced narrative capture. High-IQ populations are better at detecting contradictions, incentive mismatches, and rhetorical sleight of hand. Propaganda degrades faster.
• Model competition. People generate alternative explanations and frameworks instead of inheriting the state’s. Competing maps emerge.
• Lower deference to authority. Credentials and office matter less than coherence and results. This weakens bureaucratic insulation.
• Increased coordination capacity. High cognition improves network formation, information compression, and parallel problem solving. Coordination becomes cheaper and faster.
• Exit over voice. Rather than protest, high-IQ populations tend to route around systems: capital flight, brain drain, parallel institutions, cryptography, off-grid solutions.
Importantly: this is more dangerous to administrative states than to minimalist ones.
Why most governments quietly prefer average cognition:
• Predictable compliance

This is why historically:

A high-IQ population is not automatically destabilizing.
It becomes threatening only when:

High IQ + high dependency = technocracy
High IQ + autonomy = pluralism
High IQ + constraint + hypocrisy = regime stress
Modern technology accelerates this because:
• Information asymmetry collapses
• State narratives compete with global ones
• Enforcement becomes visible
• Alternatives become practical, not theoretical
The real threat is not intelligence itself. It is uncontrolled sense-making. Governments survive when they monopolize meaning.
