Looks like the windows are covered with chicken wire! That stuff looks familiar to me because I recently finished making a cat shelter beside my workshop to house two female, feral cats and used that same fencing to keep predators and male cats away....

The Cherokee Purple actually requires significant amounts of water, as the fruit are large. (My cherry tomato plants do not require as much water.)
Here is a picture of several plants, more than six feet high, growing in plastic swimming pools, which conserves water. (I do not use city water on my garden, but rely mostly on rain water. I thank God the rain has been good here this year.)

Gmail blocks emails, even from friends and family, if they use another email host without the technical settings they demand. This means people who self-host their email can be blocked from communicating with #Gmail users.
One solution: Gmail users could move to an email host that does not block from known contacts in your own address book!
I suspect many Gmail users are unaware of this change beginning in 2024.

There are some good heirloom tomato varieties (which are not hybrids and are not genetically modified). They usually will not pump out as many fruit, but the ones they do produce have much better flavor, and are probably healthier, too.
In grocery stores in the USA, it is rare to find a tomato for sale that is worth eating. I would rather have heirlooms.
If you save heirloom tomato seed, the next generation should be very similar to the original.

First generation hybrid.... So I guess you are growing one of many possible hybrid tomato plant varieties.
Cherokee Purple is an heirloom tomato, but since I saved my own seeds for free and did not purchase them, it's possible my plants could have some crossing with other varieties I grew in the garden the same season.

I have no problem with the propane generator.... just wondering why you spoke about the government in this particular post. And I do not blame you at all for wanting to pump water out of your own basement. That may not help your neighbors, but it helped you. And that is how most people think: what is best for them, not others.
Many of our world's problems would disappear if we would be active doing what we want others to do.

You appear to justify your use of propane, as a backup source of power. You also say the government ignores climate change. It is still not clear to me why you made those two points together. You are pointing fingers at the government, but are you as an individual doing enough?
Your desire for backup power makes sense to me. I like that you use some solar power, which is a power source I also make use of.

I like your idea. The logs are fairly straight, so you should be able to work with them easily to keep soil or compost in place.
My constant challenge in the garden is preventing tree roots from coming up from the bottom and draining the beds of all moisture.

McDonald's is careful to avoid calling their frying oil "healthy". Instead, they advertise it as "healthier".... healthier than what?
They use a canola oil blend for frying their products, like their french fries, which is most likely adulterated, because most of the world's canola oil is produced from genetically modified plants. They do not advertise their oil to be organic, so it is highly likely they use GMO canola.... sprayed directly with glyphosate.
