I find it interesting that people can simultaneously argue that Monero’s tail emission is absolutely necessary to maintain long-term mining security, while also arguing that it trends toward effectively zero so it doesn't matter.
If it truly trends toward zero and becomes barely noticeable, then it doesn’t materially change mining incentives or network security. But if it does materially impact mining incentives, then the inflation is significant. You can't have both.
You're confusing absolute numbers with percentages. Miners are paid in absolute terms (0.6 XMR per block), which provides a permanent baseline incentive to keep rigs running. Holders care about relative inflation (percentages). Because the emission is fixed but the supply grows, the dilution rate trends toward zero. A fixed block reward can easily fund security while the inflation rate simultaneously flatlines. It’s basic math.
All Bitcoiner false claims come from not understanding basic finance and basic math. People assume you can develop theories over cryptocurrencies because it's a popular topic, but no, you can't w/o knowing some about math and monetary theory, which most people don't.
We have LLMs now, people can easily share these "opinions" and hear precisely how they're wrong, but they prefer to just throw it out there anyways. That's the real "interesting" part.

At 7 TPS, the only way fees can replace block subsidies is if they cost thousands of dollars per transaction. That prices out normal people and hands the L1 directly to the banking cartels you claim to hate. If you push everyone to L2s to keep it cheap, the L1 miners starve, hash rate plummets, and your "world settlement layer" gets 51% attacked.
Fiat inflation is arbitrary and exponential. A tail emission is hard-coded and linear, meaning the actual inflation rate mathematically trends toward zero. Comparing a fixed algorithmic security budget to a central bank printing money is mathematically illiterate.
Security isn't free. You have to pay for the network's immune system. A capped supply taxes the users with exorbitant fees, punishing them for using the network. A tail emission lightly taxes the holders through microscopic dilution, making them pay for the security that protects their wealth.
A capped supply isn't "sound money", it’s an unfunded security mandate hoping that astronomical fees will magically keep miners online forever. Money is an abstraction designed to measure and exchange value. If the total pool of value (goods and services) in the world grows, the measuring stick has to grow with it.
Nothing you say makes any mathematical sense, you're just spewing ideas you heard w/o any understanding that they don't hold up to any scrutiny. Good luck.

There are about 15,000 active routing nodes on the Lightning Network right now. Over 50% of the entire network runs on node-in-a-box software like Umbrel, RaspiBlitz, and MyNode. And what hardware do you think 99% of those OS builds are explicitly designed for? Raspberry Pis.
The massive corporate liquidity hubs (like Kraken or ACINQ) run on enterprise servers, sure. But the actual decentralized routing mesh of the Lightning Network is literally held together by thousands of people running Pi 4s and Pi 5s.

It’s a total myth that you can't run a Bitcoin/Lightning node on a Raspberry Pi. It’s actually one of the most cost-effective sovereign setups you can build.
This bad boy (my Pi 5) has been running my Lightning node flawlessly for two years. I just decided to switch from a pruned node to a full archival node. I restarted the sync from scratch, and less than 24 hours later, I’m already over a third of the way through the chain.
Zero interruptions to my Lightning channels. I just flipped LND into Neutrino mode so it stays online and routing while the heavy Bitcoin sync chugs along in the background.
If you use a cheap MicroSD card, you’re gonna have a bad time. Plug in a basic USB SSD and it absolutely flies.
At ~5-10 watts of power draw, this whole setup costs maybe $15 to $30 a year in electricity to run 24/7. Pretty cost effective.

if you just want to receive Lightning tips, Neutrino lets you run a self-custodial node on something as small as a Raspberry Pi. It operates as a light client, so it skips the heavy block storage entirely and just pulls the headers it needs to verify your specific channels. Super cheap to set up and runs just fine.

Yes, those extra fees (0.15% in, 0.25% out) go directly to the Spark Service Provider (SSP), even when you are using Cake Wallet's implementation.
Here is exactly why: When you use Cake Wallet's new "Lightning" setup, you aren't actually transacting directly on the Lightning Network. You are operating on the Spark statechain (integrated via the Breez SDK). Anytime you want to send or receive from an actual Lightning node, an SSP has to actively bridge the funds between the Spark statechain and the real Lightning Network. That 0.15% and 0.25% is the toll the SSP charges to act as that bridge.
To answer your second question: No, Cake Wallet does not charge an additional fee on top of this. Cake does not slap an extra premium on basic peer-to-peer sends. Their business model revolves around making money from their in-app token swaps, fiat on/off ramps, and Cake Pay services.
So while Cake isn't double-dipping on the transaction itself, you are still subjected to Spark's bridging fees just to interact with the broader ACTUAL/REAL Lightning Network—which definitely undercuts the "near-zero fee" ethos of running a real Lightning node.

They're using something called Spark under the hood. It's a statechain that can interoperate w/ Lightning, it's NOT LIGHTNING.

Joking aside you were using 2 accs and there were some similar patters in the way you used XMRBazaar and your own acc, it can be interpreted as coordinated use and how r u going to argue if it's authentic or not, they expressed it quiet broadly. You can massage a lot of different types of use into these categories if one is willing.

Yea I know you don't use apps and TOR only, occasional Brave situation. You can potentially use once and set up the lightning stuff and allow potential accumulation of zaps and cash out later perhaps though if you wish. I've not used it much but @coinos w/ their web interface might be an alternative.

I use Primer as well. UI/UX wise, my favorite. Also last I checked they were giving a free lightning wallet/address w/ app as well.
