Last Notes npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Thank you - I'll always stop to listen to Ram Das. Unique but not special🔥 To know that you're uniquely divine and also not special. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket 🤣 More like a pixie dressed like a sheep npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket "The Tao that can be named is not the eternal Tao" I'd say it's a matter of perspective rather than ignorance. There's little to be known here. Most of what you think is real knowledge is part of a subjective story, told by you, to yourself, from your perspective based on your beliefs. That story may be shared by many but that doesn't change the fact that it is just a story. Since you can't turn off your own internal dialogue I think it best to tell yourself the most non limiting story you can. 'They hold some limiting beliefs' is the most accurate & non judgemental story I can find to tell myself. I understand your sentiment, I've just been humbled too many times to believe that I'm further on this journey than another. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Yes - seeing things as they are rather than a slight on you or what you see as being important, is a more peaceful way of being. It's never personal unless you make it personal. It's OK to have preferences but you can't reject things based on whether they align with your preferences & expectations. This causes you to suffer unnecessarily. Anger is unavoidable but it's also usually a flash & not a raging fire. It usually requires stoking (story telling) for the anger to persist. The persistent rage you occasionally feel, usually indicates that something you consider devine or pure is being defiled or attacked. This is useful. Find what it is you consider so divine as to spark this rage. This thing is important to you & the rage can be used as fuel for purposeful action. It's in this way that the energy of anger can be harnessed for good. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Judgement is always a double edged sword. The labels we apply to people & the stories we tell ourselves about them are often inaccurate & limiting for ourselves. I try not to judge others for the selfish reason of not wanting the reflected judgement. I prefer to label someone as limited rather than judging them as a net negative. This is more a reflection of what they believe, rather than who they are. I might say something like 'they're caught in their script'. Once I realise that there's a scene playing out, I can decide if I want to be a part of it or not, often I do not. For those that have placed themselves in your life (eg boss, neighbor, relative, etc), it's hard to avoid their drama. It's likely that your drama resonates with theirs & you've both chosen each other to act it out. Practicing the 4 agreements has been amazing at releasing my own judgement of others. 1. Take nothing personally - what they say has more to do with them than me. Why would I get upset by their limiting beliefs? 2. Make no assumptions - since it's very hard to not make assumptions I often try to find the best assumption I can to explain their reaction (eg they must be going through some turmoil at home). 3. Be impeccable with your word - I try to be as accurate as I can with the stories I tell myself & others. 4. Always do your best - you'll make mistakes, you'll take peoples actions/words personally, you'll make assumptions & you'll be sloppy with your words. You did the best you could do at that point in time & will continue to do your best in the future. When I need to be discerning, I ask myself 'do they seek to control others or do they seek to empower them?' The answer to that question shows me everything I need to know. 🫂💚 npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Yeah melding is the right word. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket No leader = no cult npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Kippy & Princess Aurora https://file.nostrmedia.com/p/96c87765d900b169f5fdd8bc19bf97bd8c6d163ff416a89d45cbb7cac48c9433/7f22e4e547405fa63a6a8adb25787ac6beaedd320f1c14afe5a48a09ba70e9a5.jpeg npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I remember her having longer hair npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Maybe they're just depressed & looking for recipes to make themselves feel better? npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Lol I looked at that movie last week & passed it over, I suspect because it was rated R & the assumptions I drew from that. I'll have to give it a watch now that it has the Lyn Alden stamp of approval. There seems to be so many largely unwatchable movies around now. I'm reminded as I so easily dismiss them, that each one cost a lot of resources & human time. It makes me feel a little sad. I remember just turning up to the cinema & buying a ticket for something I've never even heard of. You got a lemon occasionally but I never fell asleep during the movie or walked out in dismay. I feel the slop is only going to become more prevalent as LLMs are integrated into film production. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket My son drives a 1989 car that he restored. Its the same model that my petrol head mate had when I was 19. He gets a discount on his registration fee because it's vintage (no special plate though). The cars we bought as teenagers second hand for peanuts are now selling for $50k+ because they're so rare. These are the same cars we thrashed & flogged until they couldn't be easily repaired & then abandoned. Shit boxes, not antiques 🤣 It reminds me of old people grumbling about the expense of things. Me, now knows this was inflation but I often wonder if they knew what was really causing it. I look at these antique Datsuns & Toranas & wonder if they were actually a good investment. 🤷 npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket No not listened to it. I experienced what I think was telepathy once & it felt more like a merging of consciousness rather than a 2 way communication. I'm still not sure what it was since the guy I was with remembers it differently (less significantly). I don't think embedded tech is required but I think impatience & dissatisfaction leads people to think it is an viable option. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket You've been pretty good at doing that from the start Phil. 🔥🤝 npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Wow Meanwhile price be https://i.nostr.build/iJms21wOOlUBt8Fv.gif npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Oh it totally does. Once downloaded you can rename to .jpg & it displays the image fine. Strange bug npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I'm noticing a heap of primal blossom images not loading today. I still think nostr is awesome even though it's still largely chaotic. Not sure when though. It won't be guided by miracle berries but might involve them 🤣 npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I enjoyed that! npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I haven't. I almost bought a plant about 18 months ago but I still couldn't justify it. It looks like a novelty to me. A novelty I haven't tried yet, but I still couldn't justify the $ to myself. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I'm not even seeing the pun so no - it wasn't intentional. I meant the wordl social layer driven by the Defauxking npub. I only noticed that npub yesterday. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I didn't even know this layer of wordle existed... 👀🤯 npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I agree there are a lot of unknowns & unnecessary trust. I've never recommended people buy it MSTR or STRC because I don't talk to normies much. IMO both stocks are for them, not bitcoiners. From a fiat investment standpoint, MSTR & STRC are lower risk than 95% of the other stuff on the NYSE. I think many bitcoiners see risk differently to fiat investors. I don't personally see any difference from a risk perspective, in trusting Saylor or trusting Fink. One has more volatility but the catastrophic risk (total loss) is almost identical in probability. There is something interesting about the way MSTR locks up bitcoin in their structure. Unlike Luna, STRC isn't a stable coin even though it behaves like one. They don't need to defend their peg, the free market does it for them. At some point the real fiat return on STRC becomes too attractive for fiat speculators to ignore. It reminds me more of GBTC than Tera Luna in it's effect on bitcoin's spot price. It's the first ever sustainable ponzi where all the investors actually benefit. I think the one thing Saylor underestimates is OGs selling their Bitcoin for principled reasons rather than economic reasons. His arrogance only makes this more likely, but in the end bitcoin eventually goes up because supply is absolutely fixed & demand for it is still increasing. I think the next 8 months is going to be pretty wild for bitcoiners - his STRC thing is still hitting friction on the 15th of every month. That gets diminished in July when they move to bi monthly dividend payments. It's really only been the last 2 months that it's budged at all. Most of the hype buys prior to this has been him selling the common stock (slightly dilutive in bitcoin terms). Whatever Saylor - pump my freaking bitcoin bags, I want to buy pasture & cows. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I don't know man, mine is slightly different. I have 4 ceramic (cream coloured) candles on top & don't have the fine secondary filters underneath. I'm running rainwater through it & have no need to remove fluoride. Those really fine filters slow things down a lot & IMO are unnecessary for rain/well water. I can filter enough to fill my 5 gallon travel container within 8 hrs. It gets clogged & slowed with fine sediment which I clean off with a non abrasive, clean scourer. Doubling the filters would speed things up but also increase your consumables. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Let's play that out. Bitcoin takes another leg down to $40K & then grinds away as it tends to do. Unlikely, but possible scenario IMO. What does MSTR do? It plunges well under $100 per share until bitcoin recovers. It's still able to pay it's STRC dividends but confidence in STRC & MSTR (as well as bitcoin) dips for a while. STRC falls below $99 for a prolonged period (months? years?). They put their nominal dividend up to 12% with the calculated dividend being even higher. Worst case scenario is that there's a prolonged period where their flywheel isn't spinning & MSTR can't take advantage of the dip. It slows them down but doesn't stop them. The MSTR shareholders lose more value on paper than ETF or STRC shareholders but nobody gets wiped out unless they've borrowed against their shares. It's price behaves like leveraged bitcoin but it carries little liquidation risk because there's little actual leverage. I own a few MSTR shares. It's a side bet that has me keeping tabs on what they're doing. As a small shareholder I'd prefer he sat on the fiat rather than trying to single handedly push bitcoin's price higher. I see that as a pure ego move & as you said 'be humble or be humbled', Bitcoin has a way of punishing those who get too greedy. I'm a little confused why a pension fund would buy stock that trades like leveraged Bitcoin. Why would they want to amplify bitcoin's volatility? If this scenario played out, they'd get a lot of criticism & pressure from fund members & probably sell those MSTR shares at a huge loss. Unless you have conviction in the underlying Bitcoin & MSTR's custody of it, you probably shouldn't be buying MSTR. If you're wondering - yes I feel morally conflicted owning MSTR for the reason I mentioned before (milking the fiat ponzi). I'm not concerned I'll lose value but I'm not happy holding this shit long term, it's not bitcoin. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Where's the leverage risk? $8B in debt with $62B worth of bitcoin & they've not taken any more debt on for years. Issuing preferred stock with an obligation to pay ongoing dividends (no obligation to buy the stock back) carries no leverage risk. Is it morally right? No I think it's wrong - they're stealing value from people who work for USD or save in it. But it's no worse than a bank issuing you new currency (as a loan) to buy a house & charging you interest. In this case there is an obligation to repay the loan, but with Strategy there is no such obligation, just a perpetual dividend. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I don't think it makes much of a difference. Trust Strategy or trust Blackrock, it's the same custodial risk. At least Strategy has a chance of out performing bitcoin in fiat terms. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket The soil should be covered, either by plants or mulch to protect the life in the soil. Grass is one of the best converters of sunshine into hydrocarbons. When you cut the grass, the plant prunes its roots releasing energy into the soil, giving soil life a boost. As long as you don't let the grass go to seed or get too close to the vines, it's a net positive. Even better if you can mulch the cut grass onto your rows. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Looks pretty sweet! npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Awww I was hoping to tip Taylor some sats but the QR is for their YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/heartattackgrill npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket It reminds me of John 14:12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. It kinda feels like he wanted us to pick up where he left off, not worship his arse. 🤷 npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket In an awesome steakhouse & you ordered some vegetarian thing with green beans. I'll never forget that night, I was horrified 🤣 npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket There aren't too many trees around here that turn into those autumnal colours. Autumn is marked by the bright yellow flowers of Easter Cassia around here, at least for me. It's a gangly legume tree that few voluntarily plant but can't be stopped either. People don't really know that they have it until after Easter when it flowers. https://file.nostrmedia.com/p/96c87765d900b169f5fdd8bc19bf97bd8c6d163ff416a89d45cbb7cac48c9433/07cdd12b474631de0ee7e263250ec39515fa9ebe894b19eb452000eeabe64f3f.jpeg npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Nice man! Up until that point when I realised bitcoin wasn't a scam, I thought there was no hope for humanity. What I thought was a scheme to make a few individuals rich, was actually a force promoting individual freedom & responsibility. It changed everything within me. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket My handicap? I can't stop thinking about Bitcoin... npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Fully. I remember subsequent years forgetting to spray for it & still getting fruit from the ugly leaf curled tree. 🤷 npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Meh. I don't expect anybody to put their interests above my own. I expect people to be loyal to their own interests. Credibility is king. If I can't trust your word then you're of little long term value to me. People that lie to themselves & others are unpredictable & often irrational. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I think it's the rotten currency we work for now more than the ethic of working over seeking comfort. If everyone was productive & nobody stole from workers by debasing the currency, there wouldn't be this prevalent idea of scarcity. There's more than enough resources here for the people to exist in peace. I love SE Asian Buddhist culture but I see it getting diluted by the worship of fiat. This was disturbingly apparent the last time I visited Thailand. The people still had a slight detachment from physicality but there was an underlying need to keep the fiat rolling in. I got the feeling that you could essentially do anything as long as you were able to pay the fee/fine. There were plenty of westerners over there living like disgusting kings on their foreign currency. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I'm surprised they let Roger into the US considering he plays music without being paid to. Pretty sure he's some sort of anticapitalist terrorist. 👀 npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket It's amazing that we reach any consensus at all 🤣 npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket The worst lies are the ones we tell ourselves to support our own existing beliefs. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket It's surprisingly pleasant for what it is. He used lots of repurposed wood in the building construction so it feels nice & natural. Being locked inside a little metal or plastic box isn't nice. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket My Buddy runs a hip camp setup with composting toilets. He catches the waste in deep municipal plastic wheelie bins. The toilet building is raised & so he just takes a panel off the back of the toilet & easily swaps the full bin for an empty one. He asks people to sprinkle sawdust on their deposit & I don't remember there being a smell (it's pretty airy although I don't think he's running a fan in it). I think about his toilet a lot more than I should. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I don't know, my 2 peaches don't get it in the subtropics. When I lived in a more temperate climate I used sprayed it with a copper (sphate?) based treatment in winter. I did it once after the leaves had sprouted & lost all the fruit that year. npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I finally signed in with my nostr extension! npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket WORD5 #571 4/6 ⬛🟧⬛⬛⬛ ⬛🟪⬛⬛⬛ ⬛⬛⬛🟪⬛ 🟪🟪🟪🟪🟪 https://otherstuff.ai/word5/ npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket Very cool! Solo or tandem? npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket I like them although I've really only tried the one variety - they're a nice treat from the garden. They germinate easily & grow quickly here. I've had a few topple over when they get loaded up with fruit too lopsided. It's really hard to keep them short - they just want to get tall before they start flowering. This one is 18 months old from seed off of my other tree. Very few fruits left now. I've just eaten these 4 tamarillos by hand and strategically spat the seeds in places I want them to grow. I wouldn't mind a few more trees next year. https://file.nostrmedia.com/p/96c87765d900b169f5fdd8bc19bf97bd8c6d163ff416a89d45cbb7cac48c9433/03acc19a6482908ada6351f2c03f05b555b4acf7ffcb4cced9b1e6b709c83a7d.jpeg https://file.nostrmedia.com/p/96c87765d900b169f5fdd8bc19bf97bd8c6d163ff416a89d45cbb7cac48c9433/298d4ebc21c240f22a283466ebb6c4d36a9af162c1c13c13acd82238134fb4c1.jpeg This little volunteer sprouted in my oregano patch. https://file.nostrmedia.com/p/96c87765d900b169f5fdd8bc19bf97bd8c6d163ff416a89d45cbb7cac48c9433/2a7a31eb9d1b4fe665108fbeac1a417f8ecf9c635c6ec57c18c231e74b3b907b.jpeg npub1jmy8weweqzckna0amz7pn0uhhkxx693l7st23829ewmu43yvjsesfp6xcq Brisket It's autumn down here man. That's the one thing that you have absolute control over, what you accept to be true. What do you know to be true? The list is pretty short - I exist (I speak therefore I am). Beyond that it's just layers upon layers of beliefs you've accumulated. It's also through carefully managing these beliefs that a small group of people can control most humans. I rejected the idea of an objective right & wrong about 20 years ago. I believe it's all subjective, although I later learnt that this universe has certain laws that cannot be broken without consequences. The Golden Rule is a simple way of aligning your beliefs with the laws of the universe. I say beliefs because I believe they are precede any thoughts, feelings & actions that arise from within you. Beliefs are precursors & the foundation to the idea of 'free will'. The ability to choose what to believe. Why don't people seem to have a morals anymore? Our shared beliefs have been corrupted over generations. Beliefs around scarcity, who we are, where we find ourselves & what's important have been inserted into our consciousness. I believe we are at a turning point, that the lies are being exposed & the truth is being revealed. @nprofile…2d2u has put together a really great video series on morality. I suspect we differ slightly in how we see things, but he condenses the common wisdom of human existence quite well & goes beyond religious dogma. I recommend giving them a watch. https://freeasabove.xyz/vlogs/
