Absolutely fabulous weekend at Beechworth Bush Bash. Heartfelt thanks to all who made the effort to attend and support this great non-KYC event. Special thanks to @ProphetHaza, @phytowell, @bitcoinCrispy who were integral partners in the organising team.
Mega thanks to @tokenasian for providing, setting up and running the audio visual equipment - you are awesome 🤩. Without you all the presenters would be shouting into the void without any slides to show.
Unfortunately, NOSTR streaming was not possible due to lack of bandwidth on the telecommunications network. Just one of the many issues faced by regional communities 😞.
Thanks to all the presenters. Without you there is no Bush Bash. Imagine a hall full of bitcoiners staring at a blank screen in silence. Not a pleasant image. It takes courage to front up to a room full of toxic ₿ maxis and other ₿ plebs and present your material. Kudos to you all. You provide the content and ₿ signal the rest of us take nourishment from. 🙏
I think we may have outgrown the Town Hall as a venue in Beechworth. Luckily, we have the Memorial Hall as a possible venue for 2026, or the former insane asylum Mayday Hills. Which one seems more appropriate 🧐?
It’s late at night and I have a few glasses of 🍷🍷🍷 under my belt, but I am grateful to have found a community of based, awakened, passionate, committed, awesome people who want to fix the money and fix the world. Hosting an event like the Beechworth ₿itcoin Bush Bash is a massive privilege.
Thanks to @WizardofAus and Bill for laying the foundation stones of a great movement. Non-KYC, pure signal, ultra-social ₿ events outside the fiat-fucked megalopolises. You are the OGs and the credit belongs with you.
We’ll start planning for 2026. The venue might change, but Beechworth will be the town.
Looking forward to the next Bush Bash events in Palm Cove, Busselton and Parkes. (SA, WTF, when are you organising a Bash?)

The venue is the Beechworth Town Hall, same as the last couple of Beechworth Bush Bashes.
The Beechworth Tourist Information Centre is in the front of the building.

In Australia we lost control of our money when direct payment of wages into bank accounts came in. Before that, the banks had to attract us to deposit with them. Afterwards, they had the money and they could charge made up fees for us to access it.
Self-custody is the future. ₿ 🙌

I’ve been away from nostr for a few weeks. No particular reason, just busy and got out of the habit. Have to say I missed it.
Haven’t been wasting time though. I’ve had a play with my Seedsigner and made a multisig wallet in testnet, stacked sats , spent time with bitcoiners (🧡), helped degoogle a Pixel, bought a Pixel to degoogle for myself, bought a Bitaxe and a second hand X1 Carbon laptop to install Linux and start mining with the Bitaxe.
₿ is fun 😁
