I want you to take a firm stand against the groundwork this Republican Administration is laying to return disability to a medical model of treatment in institutions.
I worry, that this Republican Administration wants to return to the days when government entities felt no obligation to support people with disabilities, and I want you standing proudly and frequently with disability advocates. I want to see you in the news and on social media taking a stand in support of funding for mainstream support structures for those who are differentially abled.
Our society should support those with disabilities with how we design our buildings, our transportation networks, our educational programs, and our workplace habits.
I want you to be a public push-back on any efforts to make disabled Americans some sort of problem that needs to be hidden in an institution. I want you to stand firm in your support of the Olmstead ruling and in your support of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The United States has more than enough wealth to make sure every American can thrive. I want my tax dollars supporting more social services, and I want you to lead on this effort.

The District of Columbia has a greater population (694,000) than either Vermont (645,000) or Wyoming (589,000) and yet has no voting representation in Congress.
This is an injustice that should be remedied.
What we are doing to the citizens of Washington, D.C. is no less unfair or egregious than what colonists cited to justify their own independence.
I want you to support DC statehood.
These citizens should have the opportunity to advocate for or against federal policies and laws that affect their lives, not merely be subject to them. They deserve a true voice in Congress.
These citizens should have full control over their local laws and government rather than be treated as a ward of Congress. As recently as 2025 and 2026, Congress has used its power to disapprove local DC laws.
These citizens should be treated as living in an autonomous state with carve-outs for federal buildings such as the Capitol and the White House. The fact that they do not is a civil rights and racial justice failure.
Senate Bill 51 has 43 co-sponsors; House Bill 51 has 207. It’s long past time to bring this to a vote, and I want to see you push for one.

I want you to support the standalone, Major Richard Star Act (HR 2102, S 1032) rather than the larger Take Care of America’s Veterans Act. These bills, HR 9237 and S 4744, are a massive, 554-page consolidation of more than 60 separate bills. While the bill package proposes to improve veterans’ health care and benefits, it also contains harmful offsets and other provisions that would undermine veterans’ care.
As written, the Take Care of America's Veterans Act, would eliminate or reduce benefits for up to 1.5 million veterans, cut $57 billion in disability payments over the next decade, further privatize mental health services and VA clinical research, and strip thousands of VA psychologists of their workplace rights.
Please do not let them add all of these layers that gut the VA to the Major Richard Star Act. This one bill alone would allow certain combat-injured veterans to receive both their full military retired pay and VA disability compensation, regardless of their disability rating.
Gutting the VA at the same time would be a disservice to veterans.

I oppose the proposed rule changes on oil and gas drilling on public lands, and I want you to take a firm public stance against them.
For decades, corporations drilling on land belonging to us taxpayers only had to put forth $25,000 in financial guarantees for well clean-up. The previous administration raised these guarantees to $500,000, but even that amount does not at all cover the costs of restoring an area used for oil and gas extraction. For decades, taxpayers have had to pay for the messes made by oil and gas corporations.
I want you to make it clear - if a corporation drills for oil or gas on public lands, the corporation must pay for all of the clean-up. I oppose lowering the guarantee corporations pay back to $25,000. I intend to fight this rule change, and I want you do it is as well.
I also oppose the plan to limit public comment on oil and gas leasing and drilling to 10 days, rather than the federal standard of 90 days. This is a direct limit on citizen participation and I want you to join me in opposing this. Responsible stewardship of public lands must involve the public.
Stand with the public and fight back against these rules that enrich oil and gas corporations while putting the financial burdens of post-extraction clean-up on the American taxpayer.

The Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act (H.R. 2048 and S. 3442) has more than two-thirds support in the House Ways and Means Committee, but leadership will not bring it up for a vote. The bill has 255 bipartisan cosponsors in the House.
I want you to push leadership to bring this popular bill to a vote, both in committee and on the floor. It would waive the 24-month waiting period for Medicare and the five-month waiting period for Social Security Disability Insurance benefits for eligible individuals with metastatic breast cancer.
Metastatic breast cancer has no cure, but its effects can be mitigated. Women, primarily, but men as well, are dying while waiting for approval of benefits; average life expectancy is three years after diagnosis.
About 25 years ago, Congress made a similar exception for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Urge leadership to follow that precedent.
Speak out, discuss the bill among your colleagues, and sign on as a cosponsor if you have not yet done so. Help get this bill to the floor before November, so it has a chance of passing this session.

I want full transparency. I want every political donation to come with the name of the person who signed the check or made the bank transfer. I want all of it public.

President Trump said the ballroom would be paid for completely with private funds.
The Office of Management and Budget recently moved $352 million in the 2025 budget reconciliation bill for “White House Security Measures” to the ballroom project, according to NOTUS, an online news organization.
The law states those funds can only be used for “United States Secret Service resources, including personnel, training facilities, programming, and technology.” The ballroom is none of those things.
This is not the first time the president has usurped Congressional power of the purse, and it won’t be the last unless Congress says NO..
I want you to investigate this unlawful behavior. Moreover, Congress should not allocate any budget funds to this monstrous edifice that will overshadow the White House.
I urge Congress to:
1 - Mandate restoration of the East Wing to its original design, consistent with the historic character of the White House complex.
2 - Hold accountable those who proceeded with demolition or construction work without proper legal authority.
This ballroom project is an affront to every law-abiding American and to the institutions designed to protect our national landmarks.

It’s hard to believe that we are still talking about the SAVE Act voter ID bill. It’s like a bad penny. The House-passed SAVE Act would make it harder for eligible voters to register and to cast a ballot.
President Trump continues to engage in fear mongering about a non-existent problem, non-citizens voting. Utah recently analyzed more than 2,000,000 registered voters. They found only one case of noncitizen registration and none of noncitizen voting.
In 42 states, citizens can register to vote online. The SAVE Act would send that process into chaos or eliminate it.
It’s already the law that only citizens can vote, and it’s being enforced.
I want you to vocally oppose the SAVE Act. Persuade your colleagues to oppose it as well.

I want you to articulate a bold vision for how we can and should do better. This nation has the wealth to bring amazing benefits to all people, but the gilded age policies and absence of a realistic tax revenue base are preventing this nation from reaching its true potential. Go back to the tax policies of the 1950s and 1960s. That is part our history that we must revisit.

I oppose this rule which allows for the termination of grants by appointed political appointees. Determination should be based on scientific merit rather than political agendas.
Allowing political appointees who have not been vetted for their scientific credentials to override the research grant vetting process is akin to giving a friend of the hospital CEO the power to make decisions in the emergency room.
I object to the option that would allow termination of research at any point, for nearly any reason, as research is step by step process that often does not know how it will end. Termination of grants before completion does not result in good science.
Overriding normal peer-reviewed scientific processes undercuts the credibility of the US scientific community, and is not in the national interest. Further, the statements of the justification for this rule are factually inaccurate. It is a symptom of the politicization of the state of science when the government proposing these changes cannot do so without lying to the American people.

This Republican Administration is cutting funding for the CDC's National Wastewater Surveillance System, and I want you to make sure this program is fully funded. These Ballroom Republicans propose cutting $100 million dollars a year, from a program that costs only $125 million each year to run, a fraction of the cost of the war this Republican Administration started with Iran.
Wastewater surveillance is how states currently are tracking measles outbreaks. In many states right now, no individual or family has reported a measles case to their local public health department, but the community nonetheless is able to know that measles is present in their community because of wastewater sampling.
And with no one wanting to admit they are sick, or no one wanting to test what illness they have, wastewater sampling is often the only way the community can respond effectively to infectious disease outbreak.
I want this program to remain fully funded. The piddling $25 million these Ballroom Republicans want for the program will not allow the elderly, families with small children, and those with compromised immune systems to keep themselves safe.
Please use all the procedural tools at your disposal to ensure full funding for public health wastewater sampling programs.

President Trump has nominated Todd Blanche to be attorney general of the United States. I am writing to urge your immediate opposition to that nomination.
Although there are many possible routes to counter the nomination, there is one overwhelming reason to disqualify him: the Epstein files.

I want an end to DHS concentration camps, and I want you to make a stand on this issue.
People being held at Camp East Montana in the Texas desert have filed a class action lawsuit regarding the squalid, unsafe, torturous conditions. People are housed in overcrowded tents, with no windows or skylights; fed spoiled, rotten food; deprived of medical care; arbitrarily subjected to solitary confinement; de facto prevented from obtaining or conferring with legal counsel; de facto prevented from contact with family members; and deprived of personal hygiene supplies.
Yet this is supposedly civil detention, not criminal imprisonment.
The conditions are deliberately created by DHS to constitute punishment; the 5th Amendment specifically prohibits state punishment without protections provided to criminal defendants.
I want you to use every procedural tool possible to halt funding for corporate-run DHS concentration camps. I want every person detained by DHS to have full due process, to be held in a federal facility, and to have access to clean water, edible food, lawyers, and phone calls to family.
Cruelty is the point of DHS's policies, and I do not want my tax dollars supporting it.
Every concentration camp DHS runs is a scar on this nation.

The Trump Administration and the Department of the Treasury have proposed printing a $250 bill containing the president’s likeness as part of the nation’s 250th birthday events. They have gone so far as to create a mockup design.
There are two problems with this proposal. First, the largest banknote authorized is the $100 bill. There is no Congressional approval for a $250 bill. Second, federal law prohibits putting the image of a living person on a banknote.
The timeline for new currencies of already authorized denominations is measured in years, not weeks. That means that even should Congress approve these two exceptions, it would be physically impossible to complete design and printing before July 4th.
These are not exceptions any Congress should be asked to make. I want you to go on the record opposing these changes to current law.

I am opposed to OMB’s proposed federal financial assistance rule for three reasons. First, political appointees should not replace scientists in reviewing potential grant awards; awards should not “...demonstrably advance the President’s policy priorities.” Our laws and court cases reflect that we are long past the age of the “spoils system,” that late 19th and early 20th century practice of rewarding political loyalists with government posts and contracts.
Second, independent peer review has been part of scientific grant review since the end of WWII. This rule discounts peer review as a primary measure of merit.
Third, grant applications could be negatively judged based on scientist affiliation with civil rights, environmental or public health organizations. Such memberships have nothing to do with the merit of an application.

The bipartisan and independent Election Assistance Commission, created in 2002, owns the website vote.gov.
I recently learned that the National Design Studio (NDS), a three-year temporary agency created by an August 2025 executive order and housed in the White House, has a staging server with a working preview of a new vote.gov.
I also learned that the NDS-designed website would replace the current vote.gov should the White House succeed in setting up a national voter database.
The states are responsible for elections. The federal government’s attempt to insert itself in the process of validating voters is unconstitutional.
Their effort to create a national database of voters and involve the Post Office in deciding who can get a mail-in ballot is likewise unconstitutional.
I want you to ask hard questions of Joe Gebbia. The DOGE alumnus and cofounder of Airbnb has a temporary appointment to run NDS. As you know, DOGE is the subject of numerous federal lawsuits related to their controversial access to Social Security data. Given DOGE’s documented record on data access, his appointment warrants close scrutiny.
These backdoor shenanigans need the disinfectant of sunshine. Provide some, please, by holding hearings on these issues.

A year ago, this Republican Administration issued an Executive Order promising to house 6,000 homeless veterans, yet these Ballroom Republicans allocated zero dollars to pay for this housing they promised.
A hearing this month in the House Veterans Affairs Committee provided some answers, but also more questions.
I am concerned that this Republican Administration has required Veterans Administration officials and local advocates to sign nondisclosure agreements regarding construction and housing.
What exactly are they hiding and why is Congress not being briefed properly?
I want adequate, safe, clean housing for veterans across America. I want this to be a budget priority for you going forward. Veterans served America and we have a responsibility to care for them.

I want you to support the bipartisan Rural Housing Service Reform Act and take immediate steps to create programs to build affordable housing in rural areas.
For year, the USDA's Section 515 loans allowed for affordable housing in rural areas. The USDA stopped issuing new Section 515 loans in 2011, and as these existing loans mature, owners of rental properties are no longer legally bound to keep rents low. By 2050, researchers estimate there will be no Section 515 housing left unless the program is replaced.
The National Low Income Housing Coalition notes that the average Section 515 resident pays roughly $325 per month—far below the national average market rate of $800-$1,100 for modest rural homes.
Please join Senator Tina Smith (MN) to get this legislation through committee and out for a vote.
The working poor need a place to live, and with the greed that has taken over this country, they won’t have it unless you take action.

I object to the new rules USCIS has applied to green card applicants and I want you to fix this.
For 60 years, people could apply for green cards at a US consulate abroad, or while already in the US.
With the new USCIS policy, green card applicants already in the US will be required to leave while their cases are processed, even if they are in the country legally and regardless of whether they have spouses or children with citizenship.
This will affect families nationwide by forcing green card applicants to leave jobs, homes, and relationships for an unknown amount of time. USCIS is struggling with a backlog of visa and green card cases, and admits it does not know how currently pending green card cases will be affected.
This new policy will force survivors of trafficking, and abused and neglected children, to return to the dangerous countries they fled in order to process their applications for green cards.
Please draft legislation that at a minimum allows people already in process for their green card to stay in the US while their green card is processed. Then use every appearance in committee, on the floor, and with news and social media to highlight the ways in which the policies of the Ballroom Republicans running this current Federal Administration are harming families.

I want the House of Representatives to vote on the impeachment of President Trump. Not because anyone expects the Ballroom Republicans in the Senate to confirm with a two-thirds majority. Or even for the Ballroom Republicans in the House to pass an impeachment resolution.
We need it on the record: which Congressional members believe that brazen corruption is acceptable behavior for the nation’s President?
The corruption at the center of this current impeachment request is the $1.776 billion slush fund, also known as the “Anti-Weaponization Fund,” designed to pay third parties not part of Trump’s original non-adversarial lawsuit against the IRS. Its operation is intentionally non-transparent, with no court review or supervision. It will come from a DOJ account not authorized by Congress for this specific purpose.
In addition, "settling" with the IRS in a way that forever shields himself, his children, and their companies from audits is another blatant example of corruption. I want every member of the House on the record as supporting that or opposing it.
Force the members of the House to vote! By using the Question of Privilege, any member can bring an impeachment resolution to a roll call vote, bypassing Speaker Mike Johnson.
Your constituents are watching.

I am disgusted by the DOJ's creation of a slush fund for President Trump's allies paid for by the American taxpayer.
I object to this “Anti-Weaponization Fund” in exchange for Trump dropping his $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS.
I need you to draft legislation overturning this declaration that the IRS is “forever barred and precluded” from examining prior tax returns of President Trump, his family and his businesses.
This is not a minor breach of norms. It is an existential challenge to three foundational principles of our republic.
No American should be immune from the tax obligations and audit processes that apply to every other citizen. The IRS mandatory audit program for sitting presidents exists precisely because the office creates extraordinary conflicts of interest.
Congress controls the power of the purse. The creation of a $1.776 billion discretionary fund, solely by executive action, is an assault on legislative authority.
Federal law already prohibits the White House from directing the IRS to target or protect specific individuals. Blanche has apparently decided that a carve-out exists for the attorney general. That interpretation must be closed by legislation.
I want a full Congressional investigation and legislation overturning and outlawing all of this.

News reports suggest that President Trump acted on the non-public information that the federal government was going to take actions benefiting Eli Lily’s GLP-1 business. How? Because he made seven stock purchases totaling up to $680,000 in Q1 2026. In January, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services proposed a pilot program for Medicare and Medicaid which would reduce the price of GLP-1 drugs to $50 a month. Lily was picked for the pilot.
This is the latest example of elected officials trading suspiciously close to non-public government decisions. It’s past time to prohibit any stock trades by any elected or appointed federal official – including judges – and their immediate family (spouse, children of any age) while they are in office.
I want you to champion the Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments (PELOSI) Act and extend control to both elected and appointed officials and their immediate families in all three branches of government. Officials must place any stocks held when taking a government position in a qualified blind trust. Failure to comply is a felony, not a $200 fine.

I am very upset about the speed with which the Supreme Court ruled on the Alabama case, and I want you to draft legislation to reform the shadow docket process. The shadow docket should not exist.
At 5:38 p.m. on Monday of last week, the Supreme Court issued a shadow docket ruling allowing Alabama to redraw its congressional maps in a way that dilutes Black voting power. That was 38 minutes after the opposing parties filed their response briefs.
So the nine Supreme Court Justices sat with 107 pages of briefs, read every sentence attentively, weighed the arguments of each against Alabama's motion, reached a consensus among six of the nine justices, issued an order and a dissent all in 38 minutes?
The ABA Model Code of Judicial Conduct instructs judges to "accord to every person who has a legal interest in a proceeding, or that person's lawyer, the right to be heard according to law." Note that this is not merely the right to speak at a hearing — it is the right to be heard.
The judicial system functions only when litigants and the public believe they are receiving a fair hearing.
The shadow docket is not a fair hearing. Please legislate the end of the ability of the Supreme Court to use the shadow docket.

I am absolutely against DHS's use of smart glasses by immigration agents and I want this $7.5 million line item struck from their budget.
I want a detailed audit of the false positive rate of their existing Mobile Fortify biometric data and the results made public. Tell us the true details of this app and how many people were falsely detained based on the app.
In Minnesota, DHS leaned heavily on biometric surveillance apps on their phones. People with brown and black skin were boxed in by vehicles and officers, and DHS then scanned the faces of the individuals they detained.
In interactions observed by reporters and videos posted online, DHS employees are rarely seen asking for consent before holding their cellphones to people's faces, and in some clips they continue scanning even after someone objects, which is unconstitutional.
DHS might claim that their biometric recognition systems work, but I do not believe them.
Giving DHS smart glasses would further erode privacy protections for all Americans.
Do not let DHS use smart glasses. Audit the existing programs and make public the results.

I want you to make sure all persons in DHS custody get medical care.
DHS contracts with third-party providers like doctors, hospitals and pharmacies to provide “medically necessary” care that includes “dialysis, prenatal care, oncology, [and] chemotherapy.”
DHS haled payments to providers in October 2025, triggering a severe health crisis. Why? Sen. Tommy Tuberville falsely claiming that the VA was funding ICE health care services rather than acting like a pass-through. Then an obscure nonprofit sued ICE to see the VA payment records.
This payment suspension coincides with a fivefold increase in detainee deaths and systemic denials of life-saving care.
Although payments to third parties were supposed to resume on April 30, 2026, they did not. Now they are supposed to begin sometime in May or June.
DHS has more than enough budget to make these payments and provide adequate medical care to person detained.
I want you to raise this issue within Congress. Demand hearings. Demand that the White House re-integrate the VA payment system and immediately pay those seven months of invoices. Do your job of oversight.

Please elevate the problem faced by our most critically challenged metropolitan area, New Orleans.
Southern Louisiana is facing 7 to 23 feet of sea level rise and the loss of three-quarters of its remaining coastal wetlands, which will cause the shoreline to migrate as much as 60 miles inland.
Compounding the sea level threat, New Orleans is sinking at the rate of one to two inches per year.
Even if factors contributing to rising sea levels were to magically stop today, New Orleans would still become an island within generations.
Rather than investing in more levees that will merely postpone (maybe) the inevitable, political leaders of all stripes should be supporting and encouraging a complete revamping of the New Orleans area.
It is impossible to keep an island situated below sea level afloat. There’s no amount of money that can do that.
We must begin tackling climate change impacts.
Throughout history, cities have relocated. Save New Orleans and all of its cultural history by moving the parts that can be saved and encouraging people to relocate.
I love New Orleans, but in my lifetime, I will see it disappear. Save what can be saved.

ICE is starting a new surge. I want you and your staffers visit every facility rented or use by ICE, including the temporary spaces that they occupy during this surge. I need you gearing up for oversight and ready to get loud and public.
At the May 5 Border Security Expo in Phoenix, Tom Homan said, "You will see more ICE agents than you've ever seen before, so congratulations."
I have seen what happens during those surges - massive human rights abuses. We have seen people denied access to phones, lawyers, food, and water. I have seen ICE using office bathrooms as temporary detention facilities, forcing a dozen people to sleep in close quarters on tile floors. During the Minnesota surge, they released people from detention miles from their homes, in the middle of the night in the freezing cold with no phone, no ability to call anyone, no jacket, and no shoes.
What are we going to see this time? Will we have people being released in 100 degree heat, miles from home, with no shoes? Will we see refugees and documented asylum seekers again held incommunicado for weeks despite being legally in this country?
DHS is gearing up for more abuses. They have not been held accountable for their past abuses. What will you do to hold DHS accountable?

I can't believe I have to say this, but I absolutely and completely object to allowing handguns to be mailed through the US Postal Service.
I want you to fight this new rule proposed by this Republican Administration by drafting and passing legislation that will ban forever the shipping of handguns and other weapons via the USPS. The previous law passed by Congress in 1927 banned the USPS from mailing concealable firearms unless they were from licensed dealers in an effort to curb crime. There was no logical reason for the January decision by the Department of Justice to revisit the 1927 law, call it unconstitutional, and argue that it violates the 2nd amendment.
Preventing the mailing of handguns is a logical step toward preventing unauthorized people from accessing guns. I want a person to have to show up in person at a gun shop, pass a background check, pass a firearms safety check, and prove that they have a gun safe before they can own a firearm. According to the Johns Hopkins 2025 Gun Policy Survey, these are common-sense rules that more than 70% of Americans support.

I am against the plans of this Republican Administration to make Medicare Advantage the default enrollment for Medicare, I am against the use of AI claims denial in Medicare, and I want you to fight these efforts.
Medicate Advantage costs US taxpayers 14% more than if those same people were enrolled in traditional Medicare, according to the Medicare Payment Advisory Committee.
This extra $76 billion of my tax dollars gets paid to for-profit health insurance companies. Study after study has shown that Medicare Advantage, while costing more, does not lead to better outcomes for patients.
Medicare Advantage deserves to be completely dismantled, not expanded, as does the new program to use AI for prior authorization in Traditional Medicare
Washington state hospitals say their Medicare patients are waiting two to four times longer for procedures that are now subject to prior authorization under a new Medicare program.
But this administration of Ballroom Republicans doesn't care about healthcare access or costs for ordinary Americans. Their policies show they only care about their ballroom friends and corporate profits.
I want to see you develop better policies that serve every American, not just the rich.

Top Justice Department officials declare that court rulings aren't legally binding and keep going about their business. This Republican Administration calls them “unlawful district court rulings,” saying that the administration will “continue to comply with lawful court rulings.”
You and I both know that the Executive Branch doesn't determine what is lawful. That's what courts do.
Even the Supreme Court has upheld more than half of the rulings by lower courts, particularly when it comes to rulings related to immigration policy, yet the Executive Branch continues to ignore even those ruling.
What is our nation when the Executive Branch ignores the Supreme Court and Congress lets them?
With gerrymandering now the rule, not the exception, what recourse do we citizens have?
People in my community are losing their healthcare, their jobs, and their ability to keep their families housed and fed while the rich get richer.
I want a fair nation, when the most vulnerable among us are taken care of, where everyone has a chance at success.

For the first time since 1946, US national debt now exceeds 100 percent of GDP, according to new Treasury Department data. As of March 31, the total debt was $31.265 trillion, while GDP from 2025 was $31.216 trillion, putting the ratio at 100.2 percent compared with 99.5 percent at the end of the last fiscal year. The US now spends $1.33 for every dollar it collects, and the budget deficit for this year is projected to be $1.9 trillion. The 100 percent milestone is a symbolic marker of a financial question looming over the US.
This Republican Administration pays attention to trifles—a ballroom, a royal visit, an Instagram post of sea shells—and not enough to the long term stability of the US economy and the consequences of their chosen war on Iran.
Republicans say they want to run the government like a business. When a business runs into debt, they work to generate more revenue.
Here is what I want -- enforcement of the existing tax code against the ultra-wealthy and corporations, a tightening of tax loopholes exploited by the ultra-wealthy and corporations, a removal of the Social Security Maximum Income Cap, and a raising of the capital gains tax.
Look at the top tax rate in the US from the years 1947 - 1957. This is where we should set the tax rate again.

GEO group, the corporate entity running many ICE detention facilities, continues to claim that they do not have to allow health inspections until the Supreme Court says they must.
I want health inspectors testing the water at ICE detention facilities. I want health inspectors present in the kitchens at ICE detention facilities. I want health inspectors looking at their medical clinics and interviewing people.
I want you to make sure that either you or a staffer visit ICE detention facilities with a local health inspector at your side at least once a month.
You have the power to investigate ICE. You have the power to push for regular health inspections. Bring health inspectors with you to force the issue in public.
Use the power of your office to shed light on the conditions in ICE detention facilities. You cannot let the abuse taking place disappear from the news cycle. Please inspect the facilities and report all your findings publicly. On behalf of your constituents, use the power of your office to defend those who have no voice and record an accurate record of what is taking place.

I want you to reverse the decision made by this Republican Government to stop funding drug test strips. These test strips - a simple strip of treated paper that can swiftly signal whether a street drug contains deadly fentanyl or other contaminants - not only save lives, they also help get people into drug treatment.
I have seen this play out in my community. A public health worker giving test strips to a person addicted to drugs is the gateway to that person receiving more help. One act of care - the giving of a test strip, telling that person that this test strip could save your life - is often the first step into treatment.
There is no data to support the claims of this Republican Administration that harm-reduction measures like test strips encourage drug use. The data shows that the distribution of test strips can stave off overdoses and encourages people who use drugs to exercise more caution. Exercising that caution, that pause before using drugs, is what allows harm reduction specialists to make positive ground with those people struggling with substance abuse.
I want my tax dollars supporting those who struggling to make ends meet, those who are struggling to keep roofs over their heads, those who are struggling with mental health and substance abuse. A rising tide lifts all boats.

I angry about the Supreme Court ruling and the standard it sets.
This decision effectively erases a key provision of the Voting Rights Act and opens the door for unchecked racism through redistricting across the country. The Supreme Court has determined that voters of color no longer have the right to a fairly drawn map—from school districts to congressional districts—and is willing to allow undemocratic, racist maps to determine our future representation.
Partisan gerrymandering IS racial gerrymandering. Packing, cracking, and otherwise undermining minority voting strength are the central tools used to achieve Republican political goals. It is how Texas Republicans reconfigured a state where less than 40 percent of its population is Anglo to achieve a congressional map where 70 – 80 percent of its districts will elect the Anglo candidate of choice over the choice of minority voters.
There can be no more business as usual.
I want every American to have a fair and equal vote.
I want you to fix this. I will do what I can in my community, but I need you lead loudly from the front. This racist effort to deny people equal representation must be reversed.
There are bills in Congress to do this. Grind Congress to a halt until every Americans has the right to fair representation.

New rules for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) mean we now need legislation that specifically requires the performance of disparate impact analysis to seek out examples of lending discrimination.
I want you to require the CFPB to conduct regular examinations of the algorithms, zip code filters, and loan approval rates of banks and other lending institutions to see how these approvals break out along racial and gender lines.
This used to be the actual job of the #CFPB, but this Republican Administration just stripped disparate impact analysis from the Equal Opportunity Credit Act. Under the new rules, lending discrimination would only be considered to exist done deliberately and documented, like saying "no, because she's a woman" or "no, because he lives in a poor neighborhood" on the application.
Banks and lenders were held accountable if their policies disproportionately harmed women, people of color, or low-income borrowers. That's how the CFPB caught banks redlining and locking entire communities out of homeownership and credit.
The CFPB is abandoning its legislatively mandated mission to ensure credit markets are fair and free of discrimination and I need you to fix this. I need you to codify the examination of potential lending discrimination into law in ways that protect all Americans.

They are closing the rural science research facilities in 31 states, labs that house decades of irreplaceable science on the forests that help generate the rain that falls on the US. And they’re replacing all of it with 15 political appointees called “state directors,” embedded in state capitals alongside the very governors, legislators, and industry lobbyists who have spent their careers demanding that the Forest Service log more and protect less.
The technical experts they are losing are the people who know exactly what logging will ruin what watershed.
I am asking you to stand with every member of Congress and uphold the legacy of Theodore Roosevelt with legislation that keeps science and the public at the forefront of decision-making about public lands. Protect National Forest land.

I see what this Republican Administration says about the SAVE Act. They call it a simple law that sets a clear standard for verifying U.S. citizenship in federal voter registration and a requirement of photo identification for voting, while allowing states flexibility in implementation.
The SAVE Act would disproportionately make it difficult for specific people to vote:
-Women who changed their names after marriage, who would have to secure updated documentation to register to vote.
-Military families, who would have to re-register every time they move, sometimes very close to an election day.
-Disaster survivors, who lost documents in disasters and face burdensome hurdles to replace them while rebuilding their lives.
-Poor people, who are more likely to have jobs without significant paid-time-off (thus requiring that they miss work to obtain necessary documents) and who lack the extra money needed in some cases to procure copies of birth certificates or naturalization papers.
This Republican Administration acts like voting is a privilege, but it is a foundational right specified in the Constitution.
Vote no on the SAVE Act. Actively persuade your colleagues to do the same.
Make your colleagues in Congress look you in the eye when you ask them why they support a law that would disenfranchise millions.

I want you to push back hard on this idea and fight it with every bureaucratic tool at your disposal.
Medicate Advantage costs us taxpayers 14% more than if those same people were enrolled in traditional Medicare, according to the Medicare Payment Advisory Committee.
Yes, you're reading that correctly -- Medicare itself is telling you that Medicare Advantage costs more. This extra $76 billion of my tax dollars gets paid to for-profit health insurance companies. Study after study has shown that Medicare Advantage, while costing more, does not lead to better outcomes for patients. All Medicare Advantage does is put the money I am paying in taxes into the pockets of health insurance shareholders and CEOs.
Right now, Americans have a choice between Traditional Medicare and corporate, profit-driven Medicare Advantage.
Medicare Advantage costs more and it doesn't result in better patient outcomes. It should be cancelled completely, not made the default enrollment.
Fight this.

Our total liabilities are now nearly eight times the value of our assets. The largest drivers were a $2 trillion increase in federal debt and interest payable (now $30.33 trillion) and a $438.8 billion increase in federal employee and veteran benefits payable (now $15.47 trillion).
I want you to convene a panel led by Elizabeth Warren and Mitt Romney to hash out a reasonable economic plan that serves all Americans.
Congress could also pass the bipartisan Fiscal Commission Act, sponsored by Rep. Bill Huizenga, Rep. Scott Peters, and 41 co-sponsors. Such a commission would force a public reckoning with the facts, the trade-offs, and the hard choices that restoring fiscal health requires.

I am very concerned about the recent Congressional Budget Office report that the trust fund that pays for Medicare Part A is on schedule to be entirely exhausted by 2040.
This Republican Administration significantly reduced the revenues the trust fund normally receives from taxing Social Security benefits in their budget bill from last year. This Republican budget both lowered tax rates and established a temporary deduction for taxpayers age 65 or older. And while voters like paying less in taxes, I don't think many people realized that cutting their taxes would entirely defund the Medicare safety net of critical future funding.
I want to hear your plan for keeping Medicare solvent.
How will you fix this?
I support sending IRS investigators to recoup taxes that the ultra-wealthy should be paying but don't. I support closing tax loopholes for corporations.
Please consult with Elizabeth Warren on all the possible places where this government could generate additional revenue, then make it happen.

There is a bipartisan agreement to fund the Transportation Security Administration. President Trump said he wouldn’t sign it. Fine. I want you to pass it with a veto-proof majority.
Do not take the President’s “no” as a reason to stop urging colleagues to support a TSA budget. Yes, it will take a vote in both chambers. Yes, it will take a super-majority to override a veto.
It’s time.
Americans prefer that their public servants be paid for the work that they do to make the world run more smoothly. A clean TSA funding bill serves both desires.
I do not approve of the move to send ICE agents into American airports.
Somehow, this Republican Administration believes sending agents with no airport security training into airports will help relieve pressure on TSA. The pressure is the result of Republicans demanding that any budget for DHS include ICE, and Democrats asserting ICE needs no more funds as it has its own multi-year dedicated monies from the 2025 budget bill.
Americans overwhelmingly do not approve of the President’s mass deportation force and its tactics. According to Pew Research, two thirds think the agency has “gone too far.” Half of Americans told You.gov that ICE should be abolished.
Fund TSA. Make ICE follow the law.

What is “it”? Voting by mail.
"Mail-in voting means mail-in cheating. I call it mail-in cheating, and we got to do something about it all," the President said Monday.
President Trump cast his ballot in the Tuesday Florida special election by mail.
The White House claim that “universal mail-in voting should not be allowed because it’s highly susceptible to fraud” is unsupported by any research, even from conservative organizations like the Heritage Foundation.
The House-passed SAVE Act 2.0 would make it harder for eligible voters to register and to cast a ballot. The additions that President Trump has demanded the Senate implement to the SAVE Act would make it even harder to vote and almost impossible to vote by mail. Managing elections is the Constitutional right of the states, not the federal government.
Vote No on the SAVE Act. Persuade your colleagues to vote no. Be loud and speak out in public forums: press conferences, social media, the Senate floor. Remind your colleagues that most Americans support expanded early voting and voting by mail. Don’t pass a bill that will result in a long and costly (to taxpayers) court fight that ultimately cannot win.

I saw the new report from the Penn Wharton Budget Model that says Social Security is six years from insolvency. Their dynamic model says the way to boost GDP and surge private capital is to cut Social Security benefits to seniors now and cut them aggressively.
I am here to say NO to that.
The 7% of Americans who make more than $176,100 a year can afford to pay more.
Please draft legislation to lift the Social Security income cap. People making more than $176,100 have plenty of money to pay more taxes. Getting rid of the cap would leave Social Security solvent for decades to come. Frame it as the patriotic duty of the top 7% of earners.
The current Republican budget, combined with the war this Republican Administration just started, is pushing this country into insolvency. The massive growth in the national debt is accelerating the timeline at which cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and more cuts to Medicaid will be required. Major cuts to these programs would be triggered by the Statutory Pay-As-You-Go (PAYGO) Act of 2010, which requires mandatory across-the-board spending cuts if Congress passes legislation that increases the federal deficit.
I think Republicans want to trigger these cuts.
Now is the time to push legislation to remove the social security income cap.

Changing this rule weakens one of the system’s central safeguards and raises the likelihood of uncorrected error and erroneous removal.
This rule change also reduces the appeal period from 30 days to 10 days. This is not enough time to prepare a meaningful appeal. It takes time to review the immigration judge’s decision and the record to identify legal or factual errors. It also assumes everyone involved in the process, including unrepresented asylum seekers, can get access to the databases and/or forms necessary to file their appeals in a timely manner.

I strongly oppose the statement by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth that “[w]e will keep pushing, keep advancing, no quarter, no mercy for our enemies" because I do not want our nation to commit war crimes.
Legally, "no quarter" means that enemy combatants cannot be taken prisoner: they are to be killed rather than permitted to surrender. We have already crossed this line by sinking the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena after it had participated in India's MILAN 2026 naval exercises. Only 32 survived and that was because the ship was within Sri Lanka's designated search-and-rescue zone.
Such a declaration is expressly prohibited under international law, including the Geneva and Hague Conventions. If undertaken, it would be a war crime punishable under the War Crimes Act of 1996 (18 U.S.C. 2441). The Department of Defense Law (DOD) of War Manual adopts international law, including Article 23 of Hague IV Regulation, expressly stating it is "forbidden to declare that no quarter will be given.”
Neither a formal declaration nor a proper authorization has occurred. So this statement is not only contrary to law and the DOD Law of War Manual
I urge you in the strongest terms: call out the Secretary of Defense on his rhetoric and actions. Subpoena him. Do it sooner rather than later.

Dear Senator -
There is no widespread voter fraud that would necessitate either a federal emergency or the SAVE Act.
This Republican Administration is acting like voting is a privilege, but it is a foundational right specified in the Constitution.
I want to see you flood the media with appearances explaining exactly why this Republican Administration is wrong about the risk to the security and integrity of voting in this county.
The SAVE Act supported by this Republican Administration would disproportionately harm:
-Women who changed their names after marriage who would have to secure updated documentation to register to vote.
-Military families who would have to re-register every time they move sometimes very close to an election day.
-Disaster survivors who lost documents in disasters and face burdensome hurdles to replace them while rebuilding their lives.
-Communities of color: Black Americans are three times more likely than white citizens to lack easy access to birth certificates, passports, or naturalization papers.
Some Republicans have already admitted that they did not know all the details of this bill and how it would impact so many people. Corner your colleagues in Congress and make them look you in the eye when you ask them why they support a law that would disenfranchise millions.
Vote No on the SAVE Act.

What exactly is the end-state goal for the US bombing of Iran?
I have heard multiple ideas from different members of this Republican Administration.
What exactly is the end goal? How will we know when it is reached?
They said they've destroyed Iran's military and nuclear complex, but we're still bombing. They killed Iran's previous leaders, but we're still bombing.
All that is left is bombing and hoping that the Iranians rise up. But hope is not a viable military strategy. Neither is spontaneous "rising up."
I have read my Theda Skocpol and I understand what goes into a social and political revolution. I know that "rising up" is a complex undertaking that requires a cohesive opposition organization to mobilize and unite a plurality of the 92 million people of Iran.
I understand that there are things that sometimes can only be said in a classified briefing. I want you to press for a clear and coherent explanation of the end state for Iran.
We elected you to be our proxy. Learn the truth and tell us that there is a plan in place.
Because it looks like this Republican Administration is bombing Iran until the entire world is engulfed in war.
