Talmud discourse is steadily becoming more mainstream. With respect to the claim that the Talmud is "just commentary," the truth is that the mishnahs and baraitas are in fact part of what is called the oral Torah, and are just as binding as the written Torah. The gemaras are commentary, but are very important commentaries that set important precedents. It's safe to assume damn near anything that's stated unambiguously in the Torah, which includes the hatred of Jesus and contempt for gentiles, is 100% binding on any Orthodox Jew, and any statements to the contrary are just lying.
If you find a sect of Orthodox Jew which purport to be saying something seemingly good which differs from the standard view, it is almost certainly going to be based off some minute detail or quibble, and not the broader principle. Like the orthodox Jews who met with Ahmedinejad and claimed to oppose Zionism, those kinds of Jews think it's wrong because they need to wait for the Messiah to come before going into the Holy Land and ethnically cleansing the goyim, not because the principle is morally wrong.
There's countless splits and disagreements in Judaism, but almost all of them are over nitpicks and interpretations much smaller and less significant than the rotten foundation of the Talmud.

Fun fact: Hitler based his whole ideology off what he saw the Jews as doing. And it makes sense. Francis would be center-left on the below axis, but is harder left on immigration and climate change. I would expect a conclave within the next couple of years, and the most likely outcome would be a Benedict-style conservative who is solid on theological issues but doesn't emphasize politics. I think going in-depth on this one story in context may be a more effective approach to show why the Talmud is satanic than throwing a lot of different random quotes from different places. The more I dig into the layers of this one story, the worse it gets, considering the symbolism being thrown around.
First, the rabbis reference the oven of akhnai, the snake. They explain its significance by claiming that they surround it with their statements like the coils of a snake. Then the story begins with Rabbi Eliezer answering all questions and explanations about his opinion on the Law.
Once logic fails, Eliezer attempts to show his opinion is correct with mighty signs, like uprooting a tree, or making water flow uphill, or making the walls of the study hall collapse. These may be referencing miracles like the burning bush, the parting of the Red Sea, or the collapse of the walls of Jericho.
The other rabbis reject these signs, so Rabbi Eliezer calls to God to speak from heaven, and God does so in support of his position. Rabbi Yehoshua replies by claiming it is written: "It is not in heaven." (Deut 30:12) Rabbi Yirmeya explains that this means that since the Torah was given at Mount Sinai, they no longer regard a Divine Voice, since it is written: "After a majority to incline." (Exodus 23:2) And so, the majority of rabbis are declared right even against God Himself saying otherwise.
But the actual context of Deuteronomy 30:12 is that God is giving Israel a choice to follow Him and prosper, or disobey Him and suffer, and that this command is not in heaven, or in the sea, or somewhere far away and hidden. Combined with the snake imagery and the admission that their words are coiled to conceal the truth, this is a Luciferian statement to defy God, to "be as gods," as the serpent said. So in response to the great choice God presented before them, they choose to follow the path of the original sin. Their reference of Exodus 23:2 is similarly perverse, because that passage says NOT to follow the majority instead of pursuing divine justice. By rejecting divine revelation and claiming a majority consensus of their own as binding authority, they reject any external standards of right and wrong, even the word of God.
They then laughably reference Elijah as saying that God Himself admitted He had been bested by Him children. Of course Elijah famously stood against a wicked king and 150 servants of Baal as a witness to God, so to put such words in his mouth is a crude mockery.
This story, even more than any other grotesque and blasphemous lies, or the convoluted and duplicitous nature of the texts, gets to the heart of what the Talmud is, it is an exaltation of the class of sophist rabbis over even the will of God, it is a blatant idolatry in defiance of everything even their own earlier texts declared.
Even more than their blasphemies against Christ, they proceed to blaspheming against the Holy Spirit, the very essence of God, all to exalt their own wills. This is said to be the one sin which shall not be forgiven, even in this age or in the one to come. All other sins are crystallized within the primeval sin, the rejection of God and the worship of self, and here is where they dare to express this blasphemy of blasphemies so blatantly, so if you want one single story to hammer home the diabolical nature of the Talmud, I think I'd choose this one.

I do think the most popular meme about Talmud quotes was deliberately invented by Jews to confuse the goyim, because it has a lot of blatantly fake quotations, and others can be described as "deboonked" by Jews who can abuse the goyim's lack of contextual knowledge.
One example is a real quote from Sanhedrin 59a, which states that a gentile who studies the Talmud deserves death. The deboonker can then cite the passage after, which says that a gentile who studies the Talmud is like a high priest. But if you actually read the whole passage in context, the conclusion states that the latter verse applies specifically to the seven Noachide laws for goyim, not the whole thing. They ominously don't elaborate afterward on the implications for unapproved goy study of the other parts of the Talmud. So the actual context leads to the conclusion that the bad part is largely in context, while the nice-sounding part is mostly not. It's important to be wary of easy traps and pitfalls in this field.

Nevermind the slavish philosemitism and drug abuse, Peterson is inherently tainted by viewing the world through the lens of psychology a la Jung. The problem is not so much that you can't get useful insights out of that, it's that adopting a psychologist's point of view in analyzing religion inherently alienates you from the pre-modern mindset from which the religion came, and inevitably corrupts all it tries to analyze into being just another facet of modernism. Trying to view the Bible through a lens which strips it of all miraculous and transcendent properties leaves you with a vapid "Just be vaguely nice according to the standards of society" husk. Psychology is a blight of modernity, enslaving us to modern ways of thinking and viewing the world, even when we try to escape modernity through the texts of the ancients.

Also it's worth noting that there's a massive amount of spiritual starvation in the First World, yet too many within the Church have implicitly adopted a materialist worldview where giving more and more material assistance to Africa is what matters, and spiritually ministering to people in your own community takes a backseat. Of course, from a Christian perspective the First Worlder who's headed for eternal damnation is in more dire need than the starving Third World child who's going to heaven. It's also important to understand that the Church is the only organization capable of ministering to the soul in this way, whereas feeding the materially poor can just as easily be done by governments, NGOs, etc. etc. And extreme poverty has actually mostly been fixed, the importation of the Third World to the First mostly occurs out of a desire for luxury rather than necessity.

Fun fact: There are actually plenty of good and bad Catholic converts as well as cradle Catholics. People who think being vaguely nice to each other in lieu of Church structure and religious discipline are delusional about the realities of human nature, and often extremely lax on any number of sins to justify their attitude. Human beings are weak and depraved, and need both social support and the strength of ritual and tradition to guide them. Trying to be a saint without praying is as futile and impossible as trying to be a professional athlete without exercising.

He does wind up healing her daughter anyways because she expresses faith in Christ's abundance by claiming that the table scraps given to dogs would be enough.

Actually, there's no contradiction at all between Ordo Amoris and the parable of the Good Samaritan. Going out and helping those you see in need is a good thing, even if they're considered "outsiders," you just can't neglect your own family and community in the process. The Good Samaritan left the injured man with the innkeeper, presumably to go home to take care of his family. It is entirely compatible with Ordo Amoris for Mother Teresa to go to Calcutta to help poor people, what Ordo Amoris shuts down is bringing Calcutta into your own community and displacing your family and neighbors as a result. This is what really makes shitlibs mad, they want to be able to treat their own families like shit so long as they show their commitment to "the cause," just like their heroes Gandhi and MLK. You can't make up for cheating on your wife and neglecting your kids so long as you have the right politics.
