Using #aurorastore recently, I've experienced an issue where I can download and install an app, however when I open the installed app, I'm forced to download the app from the Play store.

I'm building a home in a rural location that's never had power. The area is served by a single power company that has monopoly on providing power to the region.
And they act like it. After nearly two years, they haven't brought power to my location.
Thinking I could end-arpund them, I bumped up the priority on the solar installation, to go #OffGrid.
It turns out the power provider has to approve all solar installations in the region. The solar installers we contacted won't do anything without the power company's approval. I'm also hearing that an active power connection is required to receive their approval.
Beyond absurd.
I'm writing here to vent and also see if anyone has any recommendations for self-installable #solar kits. We have the power requirements spec'd out.

Make sure to check the #QubesOS hardware compatibility list to confirm your specific laptop model is supported. In my experience, you need to confirm the actual manufacturer model number,. Checking the makering model type against the list isn't sufficient. I learned this the hard way.

I've been using #SLNT bags for years. The laptop sleeves have been great. So have the sling bags. The first backpack I had from them left something to be desired, as the quality felt a bit lacking. So I've found using the laptop sleeves in a non-SLNT backpack works well.

Note on migrating from Bitwarden to Vaultwarden, the migration process doesn't support collections with different permissions for different users. So when you import Bitwarden data, collections and their user permissions aren't preserved and everything gets imported as if it was a single, flat file.

I feel fortunate to have the need to interact with the healthcare system on a limited basis.
Today was a rare and fortunately routine office visit. Upon check-in, I was asked if I'd like to register by scanning my palm on a scanner run by Amazon.
I have already seen these scanners at Whole Foods, which was somewhat disturbing yet not quite surprising.
Seeing these scanners appear at the registration desk of a healthcare provider, prompting people experiencing a heightened sense of vulnerability to use them is something else.
It struck me as disturbingly predatorial, even by big tech's standards, in an industry that is supposed to be at the forefront of data privacy.

You could put them behind a small pfsense-capable router if the wifi network is public or semi-public.
But still anyone who is on that router's wifi would be able to access the Bitaxes.
You could probably use the firewall in the router to only open the Bitaxe ports to specific IP addresses.
You could also isolate the Bitaxes via the router by using Tailscale and only allow access to the Bitaxes to IPs on the same Tailnet.
The other benefit to using the pfsense firewall is the ability to use a VPN to mask the Bitaxe IP.

What are some effective ways to bootstrap liquidity for a #lightning channel?
