I can just as well deduce that my door has the prize, because if it didn't, the host would have opened it first thing.
If I code a simulation for this problem, will I really find a 2/3 probability for the remaining door?

Surely both remaining doors are at 1/2? Why would the new probability be dependent on past events, rather than being a memoryless process? What is the difference between the final situation and being put in front of 2 new doors?

I look at the tasks they chose and I am reminded that a lot of people have very un-lifelike definitions of intelligence.
And, smaller detail, but "AI moved beyond memorizing in 2014" is such a bizarre thing to say. As if everything before 2014 had been a USB key.

The point of this projection is to show the relative sizes. It's interesting to see that Africa is huge and Russia not as big as I thought. France is tiny. Etc. You obviously can't see all of the surface of a globe at once. It's insufferable when people see a fun new thing and immediately try to dunk on it for reasons *addressed in the very description of the thing.*

2 days ago I picked up Morphotropic by @npub12cu…d38p . Couldn't stop reading last night, good thing it was a Friday! Even when I'm familiar with some scientific concepts in the book, the story is always surprising and thought provoking. And this book was inspired by Mike Levin's work, so if you're in biology, synthetic biology, or ALife, you MUST give it a read. Definitely will be featured in the next ALife newsletter
