@nprofile…0fv8 It's trying to gracefully shut down the gossip actors and in the previous few versions was having trouble with degraded actors spinning the CPU hard so took forever to respond. I'm hoping 0.4.2 fixes all that.

Yes, local models will become more capable but the cloud models will also improve one to one so I don’t think it’s going to change the equation at all on the larger business side of things.
Companies like anthropic are bleeding cash. They will have to raise prices. I don’t see how higher token compression changes that.

Based on what I see some people describing as their use case it seems they are probably trying to curb the extreme power users that open multiple agents at once in multi-hour Ralph loops. That 7% tracks as the amount of *abusive* users a service like that would probably encounter.
That being said, I expect we will see price increases in the future. Hefty ones. Drug dealer model.

1. Yes, what you describe should work but I've had someone else tell me recently that it didn't for them so I'll have to go troubleshoot that. [sigh]
2. While it *does* work, it's not immediate. That just puts it in the queue for eventual polling. I *think* what Martin wants is to be able to do an immediate insert. I also need this for another thing I'm doing.

@nprofile…peg3 I think it’s the DHT tracker. I may just have to remove that part for now and just go back to a bootstrap node list. It’s making the debug process more cumbersome than it should be. I think the actor within that crate is stalling out. The whole process hangs so that SIGINT is ineffective.

@nprofile…kuhe @nprofile…8zna Claude 4.6 is my daily driver. Just trying out opencode with a local model for comparison. A-B asking the Claude and Nemotron-3-120B to build the same thing side by side to compare.
It feels like there is a gap between large models and truly giant models. The difference between a good 9B model and a 120B param model is very noticable. But to get to the next noticable jump in accuracy/tooling you have to go to a 1T or larger model.

The latest podping gossip-writer/listener version (v0.2.5) seems stable, but there are still some connection bugs. I'm seeing a lot of peer bounces being reported. They come in clusters.
