this infuriates me to no end. Enshittification has occurred everywhere, nearly.
I'm my new community/complex/whatever I need an app to open the gates. There's no fobs, despite explicitly being listed as available in the lease.
So if your phone is inaccessible for any reason, tough shit on getting in with your vehicle.
My front door is able to be opened via NFC/rfid, which 2 physical fobs were given for that don't work for the gates. $75 to replace these little plastic pieces of shit, to which I'm just going to clone anyways.
(So far I'm happy here, but the encroaching Enshittification in everyday life is nauseating as much as it is enraging.)

I had one drink, then woke up not too long later, very unsure how one drink laid me out. I think someone put it in the wrong drink. (I was out with women.)
The bar we went to was a few minutes, tops, on foot from the apartment. They said I could walk, but was clearly not in control.

Any other vote or non-vote is a benefit to the latter.
The margins in which the Republican party rely on are slim. They know this and have strategized for it for decades.
They know that they are vastly outnumbered everywhere, even in states that they "win" regularly. It's not that there's more of them numerically, it's that they can more successfully suppress voting in those places coupled with gerrymandering and other sleazy methodologies.
If they can influence a specific number of the opposition to vote for 3rd party, or to not vote at all, that is as powerful as gaining a new voter.
They know this intimately.
Some of us know this intimately.
The vast majority of voters do not know this at all.
This isn't a conspiracy theory or anything either. This is just simple mathematics coupled with voter manipulation across many avenues. (social media, mail, TV ads, phone calls, email, etc.)

I was already hesitant to even apply, but now that I have I'm more annoyed than hopeful.
I've never remotely touched an org that large, but I know their shit really well (I feel.) and I'd love to learn more as they "make security top priority."
I'm basically now firing off my resume at every possible SOC, Detections/EDR, Threat hunting, DFIR, whatever position I can and I just truly think no one is actually hiring.

I don't know if anyone ever gets hired from these sorts of posts, but please boost as I am motivated by enjoying such things as "eating food to stay alive" and "being able to pay my bills to have a roof over my head."
I've been a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer for roughly 4 years now, at the same MSP (THAT I LOVE, but may not be able to move upward/get paid enough to support myself and my family any longer. :\ ) We focus almost entirely in the Biotech/Life Sciences space, so I have special knowledge of laboratory networking, compatibility, patching, software integrations (on-prem, hybrid, and cloud) etc. It's a very small world, but useful knowledge.
I am looking for a full-time security position whether it's in ops, ops-adjacent, outside of ops entirely, whatever it may be. I just want to make a difference, use my talents, and more importantly, grow. I know that my experience in all things ops can be very useful.
I can do almost everything in the Microsoft stack from M365/Office 365 administration, Intune, to spinning up entire Azure environments with IAM, Conditional Access policies, App Protection, etc. from scratch. If I haven't done it already, I have probably administrated it after it was spun up by a member of my team.
I have experience in Defender (and its myriad products across the Endpoint/Office/Cloud/Azure/Entra space), SentinelOne, Sophos, Cylance(vomit emoji), you name it.
I have basically been running incident response as best I can solo for years, I've wrote a rudimentary Vulnerability Management process for my org for SOC2 certification. (we're being audited right now and my processes were accepted, so good? lol)
Open to requests for my resume, links to job postings, etc. (I will redact my address and number of course because...safety reasons.)
I am currently in Boston, MA. Looking for remote roles, as transit into Boston is a no-go entirely.
