Yes, this! So long as we use the tools of the industrial-software complex, we're fucked. All that complexity and cruftiness is a feature to them, part of selling more shit, as are the dark UI patterns, incessant upgrades, meaningless version churn... But it's up to us. We're basically going to have to redevelop the entire dev and user stack (though there's stuff from the past that we can leverage).

With all this chatter around Anthropic's Claude code leak, the quality of the leaked code gives us a clear explanation of the appallingly hostile misbehaviour of the bots scraping the open web for "AI" training and how they came to be so fucking clueless and so badly written.
