Life is brief.

Why not the everyday conversations and willingness to listen, engage, and carry us forward?
Many people on Nostr get caught up in online opinions. I’ll admit, I too have felt disappointed by what I’ve read or heard. Have you met these people face-to-face? If you have, what do you remember about them. What about their presence, their kindness, and their humanity? If you haven’t met them, it’s worth it to travel to them.
If you follow me on Facebook, you’ll see a tamed version. On Nostr, I’ve been bold, even obnoxious, and sometimes guilty of drunk posting. Still, when I’ve met some of these same people in real life, their profiles and their humanity don’t always align. That’s a reminder to me that we are more complex, more layered, than our Nostr personas suggest.
I’ve met many people across these spaces, even some who are considered “major influencers.” Yet what has stayed with me most is not their status, but the conversations and exchange of ideas.
That’s what makes this movement feel alive. We have to keep honoring freedom of voice and we need to keep engaging with it. Yes, sometimes words on Nostr can offend us. Instead of rushing to attack or dislike, what if we asked: what is really being said? What is behind those words?
Well-known voices bring visibility. Can we do better?

People like Taylor and her fiancée are incredibly competitive. The biological mechanisms available in modern times allow for many children at her age, arguably more (with higher genetic selection due to her wealth). Social mechanisms, influence, and cohesion give them psychological power and control over the general public. The institutional structure of wealth, economic power, digital influence, medicine, and technology have been yielded by them. Their combined, complex power is a reality. It does not matter whether I agree with their intentions, nor do I know them. They are simply that powerful. We should watch for the same in our own communities. We are outnumbered. What is the solution?

Moved out of state and the most friends I have found have been at BTC meetups. Regardless of the situations (knots v core, etc) I’m most fond of moments at Bitcoin meetups. Omg I mean modern day engineering is fucking amazing. They successfully created a 2012 Jeep that is so difficult to change the transmission fluid on…first the shop wanted me to sign an agreement that I would be ok with them changing the fluid on the CVT transmission and the vehicle NOT starting afterwards….I then decided to do it on my own and had an internal thread on the transmission strip from <10lbs torque (requiring a heli coil repair) over an hour internet searching taught me many people deferred to a 5.9 lb torque…my jeep is now running…and these fuckers are still scamming. Those who rise to the top often do so not through merit alone, but through luck or wealth. Businessmen, in particular, recognize opportunity when they see it and they seize it. Some individuals will start and come out unrecognizable after they are given this power and influence. This is the nature of humanity. The Bitcoin community is not immune to it.

Be born with different genetics to another family? Go get plastic surgery? Go learn years of information that others were taught by their parents decades ago? Of course people can try harder. These stats are proof that some men will not be enough, even if they try. The messaging makes women increasingly comfortable living by themselves. I see some of them deciding they need to marry in their 30’s (when they realize they couldn’t get who they “deserved”). Half of the girls I personally know marrying over age of 30 are paying for IVF treatments. I think GEOMAXXING is a decent idea for those outside of the desirable stats. Many American women won’t appreciate what you do for them.
