yeah i think e-zines are a sweet spot. you have more leevay in terms how much content you can include and how you present it. it is also not long enough for most people to read if the design and formatting is bearable.
i'd be especially interested in science e-zines honestly. how do you plan to make them available?

would you feel any different if say you were indeed an expert and you knew it all? (assuming that's even possible). and i mean, if you've been teaching for 16 years, you must have achieved some degree of expertise? in teaching if not in the subject matter itself. what do you think you need to achieve the expertise?
and if you're speaking of india, it certainly isn't getting any better in that regard, so i understand.

not sure if it'll be any better but perhaps you try #openstreetmap based applications? like @npub1854…hexw . banglore has an active openstreetmap community which contributes to crowdsourced data and is likely to have better information regarding pavements and so on. @npub1gxy…rx8v

since the #votechori campaigns, i've seen people being increasingly disillusioned on social media. hopefully that has translated also into spaces and people without internet access (if not, that is something to strive for).
india bloc had made significant leaps in the past election, and the next one should only be more favourable. (due to reasons mentioned above, and anti-incumbency).

how do you convince people that it is indeed worth trying? i would take a relevant example of delhi. we have hazardously unbreathable air but the government criticism stays largely online whereas only a handful of people manage to go to jantar mantar or india gate to protest.
somehow even something so fatal is not enough for people to come on the streets in masses and take a stand for their health.
this is a fundamental issue that imo stems from a weak education system that has failed to produce citizens that are capable of standing for themselves and others.
which brings me back to my initial proposition of setting up community spaces [or reaching out physically], that gives people a forum to explore and discuss things that affect their daily lives, and what they can meaningfully do to bring about changes. this, if practiced at scale, can be crucially beneficial.

would like to say the same for free software. why do we never see physical outreach or even online (which should ideally happen on proprietary platforms, because you have to meet people where they are), where we actively reach out to new people
conferences like indiafoss by #fossunited, only attract crowds that already happen to be part of the the movement and ecosystem, which happens to be of not an ideal number as of right now.

i agree with praveen, we have to extend our steps beyond social media, and more so because it is something that comes with privilege, and the majority populace will never be able to access the conversations that we're currently having.
we need people to reach out and organize physically, in offline-spaces, to _consistently_ practice politics. i say this because we as citizens often have a notion, that politics is only practiced at the time of elections.
we need to break this narrative, and allow not only experts and the public intellectuals, but everyone to be part of conservations and take stances against things that have far reaching consequences on their lives.

certainly is the first step no? if no one's saying these out, who will care to stop and think. we all can do what's in our capacity, i.e. call out violations, vote, etc.
but i have to agree, this is a big legal issue, and the government getting away with this is a pressing concern for everybody.
i would like to hear your thoughts as for what else we can do.

e-rupee is another alternative, which is a drop-in replacement, in the sense that you can scan those upi qr codes which you see at merchants with your e-rupee bank app.
