25% interest on personal loan…
I was curious to see interest rates on some personal loans… this is ridiculous.
They can literally print the very currency I’m borrowing yet they lend it out at 25% and that’s over 2 years!
I’ll end up paying $7,400 back from a $5,000 loan. Insanity!
Some people must get themselves into so much trouble with debt and credit cards. Actually wild.
I can open a line of credit against my Bitcoin for 9.5% with Blockearner here in Australia , why would I do 25% just to avoid the collateral ?

I aim to buy a car early November 2026 (unless the Iranian conflict is still brewing), looking at spending around $30k AUD.
Since that’s about 8 months away I don’t want to put those car savings in Bitcoin since a new bottom could hit this year and I need the money.
So I put $10k AUD in STRC and I’ll see how it goes for returns here in Australia since it’s closer to 10% annual returns.
+ I think there’s foreign income tax so we’ll see what sort of return it really is.
I’ll keep ya posted if STRC is worth it for short term savings, gotta be better than a bank though surely !

Diesel is $3.25/Litre here in Australia Victoria.
Multiple fuel stations limiting fuel purchases as well as shortages.
Feels like Covid 2.0, people filling up jerry cans of petrol and diesel in case things get worse.
People buying staples like pasta, rice, canned food etc.
Let’s see what happens next 12 months … will the Iran war be over anytime soon?

I’m starting to realise Nostr should not be a place where you spam BTC content … you looking at this post will most likely already own Bitcoin.

What happens when you become a real BITCOINER…
1. You realise Fiat money is a scam
2. You realise houses should be deflationary .
3. You realise sugar cereals, vegetable oils and processed foods kill your health + disguise inflation by dropping the quality of goods.
4. You shape your diet around carnivore or something similar and no longer agree with ‘red meat is the devil, eat more pasta and have a balanced diet of poison and the rare occasion of whole food like eggs or meat.’
5. You start filtering your water or switch to tank/rain water . (Town/city water is toxic). You also avoid sunscreen and toxic body soaps/deodorant.
6. You realise vaccines were a scam, especially Covid related ones. They did more harm than good and allowed the worst inflation in history due to unlimited money printing.
7. You drink less alcohol and put the cigarettes away, optimistic about the future and you now want to live as long as possible.
8. You care about community, you search for friends and family to join your journey and learn to be selfless.
9. You tighten your spending happens and decrease debt/credit card loans etc. you learn you don’t need to consume and consume and consume. You can just live to your means and stack satoshis for the future.
10. You potentially find God , because you learn even with all these improvements and success and wake up calls. You no longer want to just worship the creation of this world but you want to worship the creator.

I just absolutely cooked my knee playing netball on my wife’s team, we signed up to play just for something fun to do together . Playing with my brother and his wife too plus some church friends .
Now I might not even be able to work for a couple weeks since my job is labour intensive .

Bitcoin is a better investment than Ai companies .
Ai companies are:
1. Deflationary (getting cheaper and cheaper towards production value) .
2. Saturated (every man and his dog is spinning up a new ai) .
3. Easily replicated / competitor improvement (so easy to copy someone and improve it slightly to steal business/users) .
Bitcoin is:
1. Decentralised (no one central body, party or individual/CEO).
2. Freedom technology (no reliance on banks/governments/visa&mastercard intermediaries etc) as well as being permission-less.
3. Limited supply of 21 million Bitcoin ever to be mined and released to market (scarcest asset in the world) .
4. All replicas have failed (no one has successfully made another Bitcoin type product/technology.
Just to name a few. But yeah.
Invest in Bitcoin not Nvidia or other ai focused companies essentially.

We are like fleas in a jar , always jumping to the lid but never above because the lid restriction.
Even once the lid is removed the fleas never leave the jar because it has become a habit and set standard to stay restricted to the lid height.
Even when the fleas have offspring, the new fleas copy their parents and stay within the jar.
This experiment reminds me of those engrained in the fiat system, it is traditional and normal. We are all in a set standard of how we do life - how we save in the bank, how we accept inflation and money printing. We have no say in what the big dogs of the world change and do .
But I want everyone to know that the lid has been removed ! We can now save our time and energy into bitcoin. We can break the cycle .
Stack sats everyone and don’t give up on your friends and family. Set aside some bitcoin for them if that’s what it takes.

I feel the exact same .
I’m 21 years of age and just assumed I’d struggle financially my whole life regardless of ‘climbing the ladder’ career wise.
Bitcoin breaks me out of that mentality and believe in proof of work.
I believe if you work hard and convert your fiat into BTC . You will find your life gets cheaper and cheaper !

Last day of the big family holiday.
It’s been a nice holiday away but I still wish the family members I’ve introduced Bitcoin to, were more serious.
I suppose it just takes time, but I definitely feel like I’m sort of on my own with this frame of thinking.

Buy a house
Pay off house
Get a loan for a nice car
Retire and hope you have enough to enjoy life at age 65

I think strike in the US would be 10x better than strike in Australia so I can’t entirely vouch for it.
However it makes payments over the lightning network effortlessly and you can literally add people’s lightning address through usernames which I think is a cool add.
I send my dad SATS whenever I owe him money and it’s effective + efficient.
I’ve also used it to buy things like Amazon gift cards , fuel gift cards etc so I can directly pay with BTC without having to cash it out.
I can also buy bitcoin directly with any debit card which is easy.
But I hear the US has more features than this + more to come like bitcoin backed loans.

The US dollar is buying less and less overtime through the action of money printing. This number is truly closer to 7-12% rather than the 2-3% inflation rate the government tries to convince to the citizens.
Now I live in Australia 🇦🇺, our dollar is now $1.60 to the US… it was $1.30 in 2020. So we are printing even more than the US.
Australia’s money supply has increased 40-50% in less than 5 years … you’ve lost that amount of purchasing power here in Australia.
It’s time to buy some BITCOIN
