As far as I can gather the issue was autopopulating the funding source for lnbits by alby, and Francis enabling lnbits but not setting up from lnbits launch page? We didn't autopopulate the funding source, alby did. We can add an extra safeguard to help albys flow, by disabling the setup page after x mins, but using lnbits this way by a service like alby, is not something we do or account for. I'm not playing the blame game, but its a vulnerability not created by us. We can try safeguarding it, but any service that alby autopopulates should be monitored by alby and disabled if not set up correctly.

We are lucky coming from bitcoin, and understanding pitfalls of something that seemingly makes sense, such as a "foundation". I don't think there has ever been an open protocol that became hardened against centralising forces more than bitcoin. It's a unique experience that equips us well for building something like nostr.

I met an actual Guru once at a party, was just chatting, and he suddebly did some weird Chakra shit out of nowhere. Felt all aligned and focused afterward, still do, was very odd. I had a flooded soakaway last week, that required days of digging through slimey stinky mud in the rain, but listening to 100s of Empire podcast I had a great old time.

The real risk is losing your phone or it being compromised by being a multiuse device. The signer keeps your nsec safe and sound from an internet connection you trust, and only does one thing so attack vector is 100x limited.

I feel that between nostr, torrents, zaps and payment splits, the tools for building a better YouTube exist. Seeders could profit share v4v, users could pay or access for "free" via ads - both paying seeders and creators. Hosting burden is shared across paid users. Content ownership is easy enough with the crypto in nostr.

LNbits 0.12.11-rc out if any testers out there are fancy spinning up and testing (of course not on production nodes).
Loads of great updates, my favourites being the boltz funding source (run LNbits on a liquid wallet!), and phoenixd, spin up an LNbits in minutes with phoenixd managed node 😍.
Tonnes of fixes, refactor and improvements. Even added a gradient option for a slicker UI.
Outstanding work by everyone involved, we're so lucky have such incredible contributors ❤️
