La gran pregunta para mí es cuánto volumen se puede mover de entrada/salida, por banco individual y en total, antes de que Hacienda venga a investigar.
Personalmente he visto gente descargando hasta 25.000€ en un año a través de varios bancos y muchas transfes y no han recibido notificaciones de Hacienda.

Leer tu artículo en su día me ayudo mucho a organizar ideas, y es uno de los factores que me alejo fuertemente de tirarme a comprar inmobiliario.
No creo que podamos llegar a tener regulaciones mucho más estúpidas y asfixiantes que las actuales, de forma que especulo con que en un futuro no muy lejano la construcción volverá a coger fuelle.

Mi momento favorito es cuando cruzan la frontera con Nevada. Esa escena es una fabula bellisima sobre como el Estado no es todopoderoso, y gran parte de su influencia viene del miedo de la gente y no de la capacidad de control del propio estado.

A cada dia que pasa, mas se parece todo al tercio final de Atlas Shrugged.
La crisis de Valencia me recuerda a ese momento tan triste en el tercio final del libro cuando todos los trabajadores, tanto de la red ferroviaria como de otros servicios, llegan a ese punto en que se la sopla todo. Cuando deciden acatar las ordenes sin sentido de los bureaus centrales, aunque puedan ver perfectamente las consecuencias terribles de seguirlas, y cual seria el camino correcto. Porque lo unico que importa es salvar el cuello politicamente, no hacer que nada funcione.
Lo de la semana pasada en Valencia es la punta del iceberg. Cuantas decadas y hordas de funcionarios han seguido ordenes estupidas, cuando tuvieron claro como el dia ante sus ojos el camino correcto? Como serian las cosas si hubiesen tenido espiritu propio?

Tiene un caso de uso peculiar que yo no he visto en ninguna otra plataforma o app.
Alice tiene euros en Strike. Alice puede pagar un invoice de LN o una TX onchain con su balance de euros, sin tener Bitcoin. Strike se encarga de hacer el cambio y enviarlo.
Alice podria tener 100K€ en Strike y mandarlos a una address onchain que ella controla. Nadie excepto ella sabe que es ella quien ha recibido el Bitcoin. A efectos prácticos, ha comprado Bitcoin sin KYC.
Yo no conozco otra forma de pasar de € a BTC sin KYC a esta escala y de un golpe.

Una idea que he madurado hablando con mucha gente: la medula espinal de la domesticacion y sumision de los ciudadanos en occidenta es la cuenta bancaria.
Si no tienes una cuenta bancaria, eres extremadamente mas dificil de castigar por parte del estado. Si una parte minuscula de la poblacion consigue vivir sin cuenta bancaria, se vuelven ingobernables por la falta material de recursos por parte del estado para perseguir y castigar a todos.
En muchos paises con tasas bajas de bancarizacion se puede ver libertad que en Europa no existe.
Si conseguimos construir una sociedad paralela, donde uno pueda subsistir sin cuenta de banco, podremos empezar a poner en practica todo los elementos de tu lista en masa.
Y dicho esto, ya seguire la chapa otro dia que tengo que ir a pagarle al carnicero con lightning...

Imagine you run a barr. Sometimes I go there to have a beer. You also happen to hire me once a week to clean it.
Everytime we pay each other, the bank charges us fees. So, when I get a beer from you, we pay a fee. When you pay me for cleaning your bar, we pay a fee.
After doing this for some time, we feel a bit stupid, and we decide to do things differently. Instead of paying each other on every single interaction, we simply keep tabs on each other, and settle whenever we feel like it. This way, we save a lot on fees.
So, the LN is this:
- For Bitcoin
- Without having to trust each other (neither you nor me can run away with an open debt)
- And if I have a tab with Alice as well, you can pay Alice through me even if you guys don't keep a tab between each other
That does the trick. From this point on, I either show the beginner how to use it practically, or if he's curious about the technical bits, we jump from the metaphor to the actual implementation details.

I agree with you on the belief that we should stop demonizing custodial options. They are an option. It comes with trade-offs. That's it. I am afraid that we are doing a disservice to adoption by ranting over purity of certain LN wallet options.

I know everyone recommends this and that wallet for XYZ reasons. I'm here today to briefly shill Phoenix Wallet as a hot onchain/LN wallet for noobs or even lazy power users. This might be interesting if you have never used it OR you used it anytime before a couple of weeks ago. If you are in the latter group, your experience is now outdated.
Okay, you might have heard a lot of noise recently about Phoenix and the new splicing stuff and how awesome splicing is. It is, but I'm gonna skip the technical bit today and present stuff from the user POV.
Okay, so what's the deal? Since Phoenix 2.0 started to use splicing, this is the cool stuff:
You can send and receive onchain sats. You simply pay the miner fees when sending. That's it.
You can send and receive through Lightning. Usual LN fees (the proper super low ones, not the stupid high ones from Muun and the like). I can pay a 10,000 sats (~3$) beer through LN and the fee will be around ~40 sats (roughly, one cent).
You only see and have one balance. Everything you have is both spendable onchain and through Lightning. No need to juggle to balances and go around swapping like an idiot.
The backup is a 12 word seedphrase. You know the drill. The wallet is noncustodial and you hold your own keys.
Feels like nothing? Well, to me, it feels like a gift from God. Giving a complete noob a wallet in 2023 before this option came around was a drama. You have to deal with a monster matrix of feature combinations, onchain vs lightning, custodial vs noncustodial, normal seedphrases vs crazy recovery schemes, etc. And no wallet crossed all the checks. Muun was the wallet that so far came closer to having it all, but it had its issues (weird backup approach, crazy fees for LN, lack of transparency on how certain features worked).
Now Phoenix has finally done it. The noobie installs it. Writes down 12 words. You send him his first sats through onchain or LN, whatever you prefer. He can then send it out again through onchain or lightning with reasonable fees for each option. All non-custodial and with a great UX.
I'm dramatically pumped about this. It's going to be such a great tool for onboarding people. And also as a personal wallet, even if you are an experienced node runner.
I would like to leave with a call to action. If you haven't tried Phoenix 2.0, please, do. And once you have, spread the message and show it to newbies so that they avoid other worse options (Muun? Already discussed. WoS? Custodial. Bluewallet? Two different balances for onchain and lightning).

Witnessing such displays of long time preference fills my heart with joy.
The other day I talked with some young entrepreneur whose business plan assumes no benefits during the first 5 years. Not in the VC, get the money and run way. He's self funded and simply going for something that will take time to cook, and he's happy to take the risk and wait for it.
It makes me optimistic. And the contrast makes me appreciate how stupid and short sighted is the big corporate obsession with quick results and hitting quarterly numbers always in green.

Every actions will generate a reaction with equal intensity in the opposite direction.
The harder they regulate and destroy the economy, the more people and companies will start taking steps towards operating outside of the state's walled garden.
After all, it makes sense. Once tax costs are high enough in your business' P&L, evading tax and regulation becomes worth the risk. Bitcoin native companies that operate under the anarchist mindset will be more competitive that the fiat-slaved ones cost wise.
The issue is that, the harder the enforcement and violenece of the state, the higher is the risk of operating in such manner.

Middlemen are not a problem. As you point out, they aggregate information and improve markets by removing friction.
The problem are oligarchic, greedy, evil and imposed-through-violence middlemen.
We must build systems that allow removing middlemen so that we can send these type to hell.
Honest and value adding middlemen will continue to exist and to make markets better.
