I notice you allow artists to post wavs in feeds, totally valid, wavs are huge and problematic in many ways.
Most listeners use cheap earbuds and probably can’t tell the difference anyway.
I recommend discouraging wavs. If they insist on wav, maybe offer it as an alternate enclosure (or convert to flac?) and auto-convert to mp3 for the main feed
Saves bandwidth, keeps everyone happy, artists can still sell high-quality versions to fans who want them through other means.

I know you you're trying to stymie anything. I was just trying to point out that the classification discussion has never gained traction because people have too many opinions.
Classification is far too subjective of a concept to fit into things like slugs.
As people who write code, we like things to fit nicely but subjective thing just don't fit nicely.
I'm super stoked that this conversation is coming up. I've been wanting a formalized solution for years

It's questions like these that have stymied implementation of any meaningful classification system.
No one can ever come up with an answer that makes sense to enough people.
The hashtag concept is likely the best method, even though it's clunky.
That's basically what I've attempted to implement

I have control of a couple of dozen music feeds as well as an app to implement the tag.
I'll work on putting a couple of test feeds together in the next few days or so.
I am partial to open - free form tags.
This was my original implementation.

I think it is. I looked into it's implementation a long time ago and determined it was incorrect, but I don't remember why anymore 🙂

Not really. Wavlake adopted the category tag, implemented wrongly, but whatever, it works.
I rolled my own crowd sourced tagging system that also pulls in the WL categories.

IDK, ask TJ what the preferred order should be.
If you think of a feed like Music from the Doerfelverse then it makes sense to have the latest song at the top.
Yet, I can also see the case for the opposite.

Filter out AI and Spam

This is the sorting algorithm that I use for music albums.
If there are S/E info I use that but only if it's consistent OR if there are pubDatess for all songs. Otherwise I fall back to the order they appear in the feed with the newest on top (reverse podcast order)
It appears that in Sovereign Feeds when you use the sort tool, SF removes the season / episode info and re-arranges the item in the feed.
pubDates are not useful in SF sorting

If metadata goes out on nostr I would prefer it to be an encrypted blob.
Metadata should be private by default and shareable based on the wishes of the sender / receiver.
I can see future times when a supporter or artist gets arrested based on the content of a boostagram.
Things like this are already happening in the UK and other places.

The switch from keysend to lnAddress is the antithesis of growth.
When you grow you become better, not worse.
Keysend ticks way more pro check boxes and less con check boxes than lnAddress
The TTWWADI pejorative is unfounded. sometimes (not always) the older ways are better.
The only reason that I've been given to move away from keysend is "lack of support" from major wallets, Strike, et, al
Which is an example of tyranny by majority.

My app doesn't support lnAddress (may never, we'll see)
When it sees an lnAddress it looks up the .well-known for the keysend info and uses that instead.if no keysend info it just fails the payment.
I don't hate lnAddress I just think it's the wrong tool for what I do.
I'm just a dinosaur who likes things the way they used to be 🙂

I've implemented Auto Boosting for live music shows.
Theoretically when listening to HH tonight, whenever Laurien hits the button on TSK a boost will be sent for the previous song she was "playing" so long as it lasted 30 seconds or longer.
This prevents her accidentally triggering boosts by clicking the buttons one after another.
All splits should be honored properly 🤞
Also AlternateEnclosure seems to be working.

If you would like to see how "intelligent" AI is.
Ask it to make a work schedule for a small full service restaurant which handles about 100 covers Mon - Thurs, 200 Covers on Fri, 300 on Sat. and 250 on Sun.
Tell it that it's goal is to figure out how many employees are needed and which shifts they are needed for.
Each employee should have a min of 2 days off in a row. Anyone who closes should not be opening the following day, and the schedules should be as consistent as possible.

I just put the episode number in my title tag. I know that's not the "correct" way to do it but it always works no matter the app.

Is there some way that I can place both payment methods in my feed saying something like "Here are the ways I accept value. I prefer keysend but you can also send to lnAddress"?
That way there's a kind of transitionary system in place.
Like when PCs had usb ports as well as serial and parrallel.
VGA with an hdmi port, etc.
Eventually the standard was established and now most laptops only have USB.

Is this going to break my node which is hosted on StartOS?
From what I understand lnAddress needs a publicaly facing .well-known and StartOS does not support clearnet.
I understand that I can ( and do) use Albyhub. Which works but that's another middleman to rely on.
I'd rather keep the middlemen to a min.
Being a part of the lightning protocol keysend doesn't have this limitation.
I will make the change but only as a last resort.

My point is it's not part of the Lightning spec. Keysend is.
It's a workaround for Bolt12
I'm not sure how I should handle this
If I replace my node address with lnAddress and implement a .well-known
I will be punished by Alby, Fountain and any other wallet not sending me TLVs if they choose lnAddress over keysend.
Other apps that don't support lnAddress or .well-known will just fail.
If I specify both then how does the app know which one to send to or will it split pmt to both?

Why does it need to be customized per tag?
Shouldn't their contents be the same for both tags?
If my Show title is "Lightning Thrashes"
Why would I want either tag to contain anything different?
I understand having both for compatibility reasons, though feed bloat is a thing.

Getting payments without tlv breaks feedback loop.
200 chars is not enough
Adding more hoops for podcasters (TLV servers) is a bad idea.
Keysend+tlv is superior and part of the Lightning Spec apps like Strike should support them. (they need to be lobbied)
lnAddress is not part of the spec and is a workaround.
lnAddress is resource intensive.
Bolt12 may never happen in my lifetime.
Keysend can be self custodial and sovereign even behind tor.

I will likely not be doing a Lightning Thrashes Live show tonight.
Since the leaves gave grown in I'm experiencing a lot of connectivity issues with Starlink.
I may move my receiver but it will take a lot of effort to do, so it may not get done 🙂
On a positive note I did sign up for Gigabit Fiber for $20 cheaper than Starlink 🙂 It just may take 60+ days before it gets here. 🙁

Correct it's icecast / liquidsoap under the hood of Azuracast.
I just installed it onto Jimmy V's server so he can start doing live shows 🙂
It's a lot more user friendly than rolling your own (like I did)
I'll do more digging into it when I get time. There may be a way for it to communicate with TSK.
I wouldn't use Azurcast's web interface for doing a show. Rather I recommend using BUTT and your favorite DAW.
Mixxx has BUTT built in.
