Oh Yeah, mainly so I don't mow! Hate the racket, fumes, the whole petro-industrial cycle. Even went as far as buying a scythe from a local guy who makes them! Very grumpy, but very willing to help, teach & advise, a quintessential old school eco-warrior

we've got q patch of lawn that's been turned over to meadown for 10 years now, we've certainly seen an increase in wildflowers & wildlife! We used to never have gold finches, gold & red crests, but now are regulars, butterflies & moths have increased too. Bats regularly flying over our mini meadow on evenings Certainly plenty of mice, frogs, toads & moles (molehills give that away!) hidden in there too! Our resident owls have a regular perch overlooking it, swooping down to cull the
