It would be good if the media, every time Trump levied tariffs, reminded people that Congress has Constitutional authority over tariffs, with exceptions, which is of course where Trump finds an entry point. This authority has been eroded/surrendered by a Congress that is too lily-livered & greedy (Lord knows how many are profiting by his mood-swing-induced tariff seesawing) to challenge Trump when he asserts Executive control over tariffs by saying there is an emergency situation.
