someone (a true gen z i think) asked me how to do some pop culture meme “get women into tech” with Taylor swift recently (like, alluding to feminist hacker Barbie) and i was like, i literally only knew how to do memes in the 2014 twitter era… and there were Taylor Swift info sec twitter memes then, too…
Also sorry but i am way out of touch with the swifties, and this whole concept is reminding me how long ago 2014 was and making me feel old.

After all the intense art, my coworker Jen showed up in Florence and we went to Museo Galileo! It was cool, both in temperature and in all the exhibits.

I went to the uffizi gallery yesterday in Florence where the main u-shaped hallway had 2000 year old Roman marble statues (whoa!) and then many hallways into “newer” weird religious renaissance art.
I found as many of the old marble animals as i could.
- good kitty (aka if this lady was in Santa Cruz and befriended a mountain lion)
- a bird
- a more excitable bird
- a snake and some pretty fine old marble feet with fine old sandals

So that’s like, 5 or 6 more loud Fridays where the neighbor (with loud cars and loud generator that turns on the moment the power goes out) has his big stupid yard blown all day
