For those of you who are unaware, apparently the individual is the self proclaimed &#34;Chief Supreme Court Justice of the Fediverse&#34;, according to their profile.<br/><br/>I usually just report/block and move on, but I was feeling frisky. I responded to the comment that read, &#34;We should pay them less than we already do&#34;. I thought, perhaps they were referring to government representatives, so I asked for clarification. The follow-up response said, &#34;the disabled. Less able, Less pay. Simple as.&#34; I was instantly upgraded from frisky, to feisty.<br/><br/>After having a look at this person&#39;s profile(s), I soon discovered, they seems to demonstrate a pattern of posting racist, misogynistic, and trans/homophobic rhetoric, as well as ablest slurs. When I saw that, and the use of the &#34;R&#34; slur against people with down syndrome, feisty was upgraded to furious. That word should be stricken from the language, unless it&#39;s referring to fireproof materials. I also found that the user and server was blocked on this instance (Kolektiva), but not by the other instance, where my &#34;self advocacy&#34; post originated. I thought a PSA to give people a heads up, was in order. <br/><br/>The screenshots below are blurred, but unedited, so if you don&#39;t want to see those words, please don&#39;t look. I&#39;m certainly not going to repeat any of them, but they seem to indicate, that practicing every possible type of hatred, is the sole reason for existence of profiles and servers like this. Posting comments about feminism and trans people, using slurs against POC and the disabled, then bragging about it, certainly leaves no doubt. Why are such accounts and servers allowed to be federated within Mastodon? <br/><br/>There&#39;s a lot of answers to that question. Here&#39;s one. &#34;313 Chris admin @ DetroitRiotCity . com&#34; bragged on a public post displayed on the profile of the commenter, saying : &#34;We bullied at least one dip shit from the NAS this afternoon. And I also used the &#34;redacted – racial slur&#34; with some broad from some Masto instance&#34;. This is a server administrator is allowed by Mastodon, to run instance.<br/><br/>I&#39;ll be expanding on this subject in a blog post on ableism and hate on Mastodon. I&#39;ve had several experiences with this, and similar behaviors, as well as, positive and negative interactions with various server administrators, in regard. Sure, this stuff does exist on some of our &#34;Ex&#34; social media sites, but I think many will agree, it has no place here. Based on many conversations I&#39;ve had with many Mastodonians, I think there&#39;s more that can be done, and so do others. <br/><br/>Ultimately, I responded to the comment, that people with disabilities should receive &#34;less pay&#34;, in Québecois and Norwegian . I did not offer an English or &#34;ignorant American&#34; translation, at first. Because of great moderation at Kolektiva social, the commenters post was not visible with my response. It makes much more sense when you can see the whole story. <br/><br/>Part of the goal of people like this, seems to be to distract those working for change, and to distract from the original issue of discussion – US Department of Labor FSLA section 14 (c), legal exploitation of workers with disabilities, was the topic. Don&#39;t let ass hat fascist like this, win the battle for disability &#34;EOE&#34; in regard to wages. I&#39;ve always been a master of &#34;suffering in silence&#34; in regard to my personal struggles – Usually, until it&#39;s too late. I&#39;ve only made one request in my entire life, and had really hoped that I wouldn&#39;t have to do this, ever again. I&#39;ve always been the one to help to others, until the last couple of years.<br/><br/>I&#39;m still struggling with housing, food, and medication, as well as healthcare and many other challenges. If you are able, please help me to keep working for IDR, to eat, survive, and live indoors. Having multiple physical and invisible disabilities, including one functioning hand, there&#39;s not a lot of work out there for me, despite my willingness. My SSDI has been wrongfully cut and I&#39;m still fighting for it. One time or monthly, anything would help, even $1. Extreme heat in Spain, has taken the lives of approximately 1200 people since mid-July. The number of which are disabled, is unclear, but during the 2021 &#34;heat dome&#34; in British Columbia, Canada, 91% of those who died were disabled or chronically ill. I know heat certainly affects me. How does it affect you in relation to your disabilities?<br/><br/>The &#34;Human Rights Watch&#34; article linked below, reports on &#34;the serious physical and mental health consequences heat has for people with disabilities&#34;. During their study of disabled residents of Andalusia, they found issues including: &#34;gaps in public responses to protect the disabled... A lack of outreach services… and lack of data&#34; about people with disabilities. <br/><br/>The &#34;HRW&#34; also cites a &#34;LACK OF PARTICIPATION OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN SHAPING RESPONSES&#34;. When the next correct response was &#34;terrazzo&#34;, which stumped the panel, I belly laughed with an abnormal degree of delight as I answered. What a fucking dork I&#39;ve become. <br/><br/>The next clue was &#34;to rapidly and vigorously drink a beverage&#34;, to which I responded, &#34;What is, a great idea&#34;.
