I’m exhausted from carrying all this responsibility alone… 💔 Every day, a new problem appears, and just when I try to adapt to this difficult situation, new expenses come that I simply cannot afford.
Today, my daughter went to a dermatologist to treat old burn scars on her chest. The doctor requested some tests and medications, and when I asked about the cost, it was around 200 shekels. He also recommended laser treatment for the burn scars.
I am a mother trying to provide my children with the most basic necessities, but these circumstances have become more than I can handle. Any help, no matter how small, could ease this burden for us. A new day, and a new hope for a life like other human beings live. Night is supposed to be a time for rest after the exhaustion of the day, but life in the tents is different. There is no rest, day or night. As soon as darkness falls, the fleas and insects come out, leaving our bodies covered with painful bites and stings.
People tell us to buy insecticide and spray the tents, but we can barely afford the basic necessities of life. We don't know what to prioritize anymore: firewood, cooking oil, food, cleaning supplies, or now even insect repellents and pesticides.
We are exhausted from this harsh reality. In Gaza, every day brings a new struggle just to meet the most basic needs. May God ease our suffering and bring relief to all the people of Gaza.

"Necessity is the mother of invention" has become a saying we repeat often in Gaza. With cooking gas scarce and its prices far beyond what most families can afford, and with wood fires causing smoke, chest illnesses, and constant exhaustion, we have been forced to find any alternative that can help us prepare food.
This stove is one of the simple inventions created by people in Gaza to cope with these harsh conditions. Yet even it requires oil and a hair dryer to operate, both of which are also expensive and difficult to obtain in Gaza.
We are trying to adapt to this reality in every way we can, but even the most basic necessities of life now require resources that many of us simply do not have. We hope for the day when normal life can return to our homes and our children.

Today, while clearing the rubble of our home, my children managed to recover some of our clothes from beneath the debris. When we were forced to flee, we had no time to take anything with us. We ran from the bombing and airstrikes with only our lives.
Most of the clothes we found were torn, damaged, and no longer fit to wear. I did my best to repair what I could, wash them, and make them usable again. In a time when everything has become unbelievably expensive, buying new clothes is simply beyond our means.

The worst thing that can happen to us in the tents is having nowhere to drain the wastewater. We had to dig a small pit in the middle of the tents, but the disaster is that it fills up very quickly. Then another problem begins: the huge cost of emptying it. A sewage truck charges 600 shekels — about 250 dollars — just to drain a very small pit.
And if you are forced to dig a new one, you start searching for things we never even noticed before the war, things we never imagined would become expensive and beyond our ability to afford in these conditions.
Now the pit beside our tent is completely full, and the waste is starting to overflow inside the tents. The smell is unbearable, and we cannot afford the cost of digging another pit or paying to empty this one.

Years ago, when my children were still little, I used to dream that each of them would have their own room… a warm bed, beautiful blankets, soft pillows, desks, wardrobes, and a vanity.
