It's still not gonna really justify vibe coding. The mod it produces isn't going to be as you dream it to be if it's just coming from weighted statistical likelihood. It'll also be far harder for you to maintain since you didn't learn anything, which means the only option to take it beyond its first version is just LLM guesswork iteration or suffering through it. Maybe it sounds good to get something out quickly? but there's just more at play in practical contexts. It's literally only useful for a mod if you're tryna one and done and/or sell it to some unsuspecting schmuck 😬 (which would be lame)

i feel like having community alternatives that can be properly sovereign from idk "tech bro tech" is allowed to be crucial, the indication that they would be undermined should be alarming (and an expected fight).

I think it's an issue when ppl do both the criticising FOSS for that, while consuming big tech; it becomes moreso posturing than passion i feel. But also, meh, purity check.

Both can just exist at the same time, theres always lots of surface area for the issue.

I'd unfortunately argue idk a movement for directly knocking over big tech like that. I only rly know of moves to indicate support for gov to take action. But such things if done well would be economic vandalism, especially rn.. our economic system is wacky. So most ppl i think just try to be a stat by not using those products, but even that's fiscal as well because it's a "where the money is" force (as in leading to companies ofc coming into FOSS to build business $$$ - and so ofc there would be outrage and concern when they do that in their businessy ways)

is it possible to like tag a block with custom data (like timeBlockWasPathinated) and then when a player requests the chunk see if the blocks time between now and then is within a timeToRegenerate—to like have nature reclaim some, and then an option in the config for each type to be regeneratable

I actually feel like some kinda world regen would be very helpful for public survival servers that always look so desolate if not a land claim
