Today is the meeting of the Virginia Board of Housing and Community Development. I am watching for whether two of the three statewide building code proposals I worked on will be adopted: affordable elevators at 6 stories and below and single stair at 5 and 6 stories. I tested two different bus routes but could have chosen a third. The walk to the University area is lovely this season, tons of flowers, bees, and butterflies. It is definitely in bicycle range but the route is not as safe as I would like, many sharrows. It is an easy walk to a school and a grocery store. Not perfect but overall pretty good by Charlottesville standards
