I'm not sure that old skills like being able to read an entire book, or watch an entire film, will be especially useful soon. But I do think the skill of not popping off the second you see manipulative media (a skill that has always been useful) will be incredibly useful very soon. Being able to see something online and maybe think "that's awful" or "that's great" but not investing in it immediately, waiting a bit to see what happens, or see if it's true... that's going to matter a lot. A LOT.
