Blair was king of the &#34;adult-in-the-room&#34; archetype. But, for all that the Blair government was a terrible disappointment in the home stage (let&#39;s not even go into foreign policy), most peoples lives did get at least a bit better (even if some of the stuff was done by stealth). Today&#39;s Labour seem to have bought the &#34;don&#39;t scare the horses&#34; line without also seeing the necessity of also actually making peoples lives better. 2023-07-11T11:02:50Z
