Similarly, from my read, Bell&#39;s theorem and the surrounding experimental evidence seems to suggest that we don&#39;t inhabit a world that&#39;s as logically consistent as the paper says we need. Also, the paper asserts that various Planck units are limits, but the paper never expounds upon the standard view that, for some but not all of them, they denote the apparent limits of our power to predict, and I see no reason to assume that that means it&#39;s a limit to anything more than our predictive power. In a way, I feel like the paper&#39;s doing the equivalent of trying to use logic to disprove logic; if our current theories are only provisional/way off base, then we can&#39;t really predict what happens past where they break down, and if they&#39;re true rather than provisional/way off base then I see no reason to assume something to be true that isn&#39;t predicted by them. So in a world of quantized stuff, saying that the Planck time is the smallest possible unit of time seems speculative but like it could be an interesting assumption if it&#39;s about the only one, but I don&#39;t see a reason to assume that the Planck temp is a max.
