Messing around looking at the surface of various tissues from the corolla and calex from flowers of my Sage plant. 1) petal cells on the corolla surface, 2) pigmented (anthocyanins no doubt) cells on the outer calex surface, 3) a glandular trichome on the corolla surface, 4) petal cells with and without pigments along the interface between purple and white stripes on the interior of the corolla. What percentage of the LLM training data surrounding nuclear war is made up by the Terminator franchise and War Games? 😆 So depressing. SciFi authors always envision these grandiose stories about hyper-intelligent AIs turning on humanity, but the reality is SO MUCH DUMBER. Feels more like the kind of tech apocalypse from Cat's Cradle than the one from Terminator.

In my opinion, any one of the major issues with LLMs (environmental, ethical, economic, functionality) is severe enough to be completely disqualifying. We shouldn't be using these things *at all*. There is no responsible usage. All they are is a tool for the corporate capture of the human spirit. Something I've never understood about the Christian story, about which I'm genuinely curious how people think. Narratively, it seems that there were no stakes for Jesus. He's an immortal demigod, who *knows* that he is. So, all the "sacrifice" he makes rings hollow, because he is aware all along that he'll just go to heaven or be resurrected or some such supernatural thing. Now, if he "didn't know* what he was, that would seem to be a much more compelling narrative. #religion #philosophy
