The reason for this is that you write code for free, you do it out of passion etc. and then right at the end you go ahead and give it away.<br/><br/>Your code has no legal guarantee to remain open-source once some individual or company comes along and makes changes to it and incorporates it into their product.<br/><br/>The LGPL is one of my favourite licenses.
