I use an M2 MacbookAir for development. Stupidly, I though 256GB for work would be fine, afterall I don't use a lot of extra software, I develop some light weight native apps and a web app. Yet somehow, my disk space is constantly fluctuating by around 40-50GB because of macOS and/or Xcode. I currently can't build for my iPhone without downloading support which requires more disk space than I have.

Last week I had ~50GB free. Modern proprietary operating systems suck. #macos

I do think it's a prime time for getting more people running Linux, but what's bugging the hell out of me is the sense that Wayland still feels like it's not quite where it should be (wherever that is) but X11 is essentially unsupported.

Also, even as someone who's used many distros on and off since the late 90s I still don't know what I want from a distro. Currently on Arch but the rolling nature is starting to get annoynig.

FWIW don't get a Samsung. We got a new one a couple of years ...

FWIW don't get a Samsung. We got a new one a couple of years ago and one of the supports inside the drum broke last year just out of warranty. Managed to get them to fix it anyway, but it broke again!
