      Hey Fedi, I’m trying to fix a Sony PCG-QR3 my SO bought in really decent shape, untested.       In reply to &lt;a href=&#39;/nevent1qqsya6gq4p3egv4gyhmkq4ue4czfrknukty8f3vzr7zvxd46kcevemc547zq3&#39;&gt;nevent1q…7zq3&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br/&gt;_________________________&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;hmm so it appears i&amp;#39;m having a lot of trouble setting up remote unlocking of my luks encrypted root&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;- manually patching mkinitfs to get a password prompt on boot sounds icky and silly, unmaintainable in the long run (type 3 fun when you remember you updated the package, are far away from the server and there&amp;#39;s no one that can help you!!!)&lt;br/&gt;- using intel amt (because I don&amp;#39;t have a KVM handy) - hell if you want to do TLS. unencrypted serial-over-lan is scary when you&amp;#39;re typing in your luks unlock password 🥶&lt;br/&gt;- using an actual KVM - overkill but will work with any OS, but do we trust it?&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;so i guess this is where i fall flat with alpine for now. if i don&amp;#39;t figure this out i think i&amp;#39;m going to think about debian again ;_;
