None of it is helped by Maresca and Slot doing so shockingly well in their first seasons (despite inheriting much better squads). Problem at Spurs is the squad, not the managers. But it's managers who get the bullet because it's hard to change the other problems quickly (players and ownership).

Ange is still the same but an increasing section of the fanbase is getting impatient. Poor performances against Palace, Ipswich, Brighton, Bournemouth and Fulham have soured the mood. Many now believe we should have gone for more mature players in the summer instead of rebuilding with youngsters. Spurs fans have forgotten the process Arsenal went through with Arteta and ton a certain extent Liverpool with Klopp.

I think the fediverse will continue to develop and improve. I especially hope there is a little bit of a pivot to focus on longer form content. Focus on helping people create blogs than can follow and interact with each other. Next gen RSS delivered via AP. This to me seems like the sweet spot for AP because, unlike atproto, a full AP stack is hostable on your own server reasonably easily, especially if it's quite small (like a personal blog).

yeah, it seems Mastodon is not going to be the X replacement we had hoped. Bluesky just seems to resonate more with people. Features like feeds and starter packs have been killer features while Masto has been mostly stagnant. I still see a place for ActivityPub - probably as a way for longer for websites to talk to each other. Perhaps adding social to podcasts too. But I can't now see Mastodon do anything but lose users.

They're a fascinating club. I lived in Sussex most of my life so they're my local. It's extraordinary where they've come from to where they are now. I used to drive past the stadium on my way to work every day; saw it built. Bloom's use of data is said to be unique. They have stuff (because of the gambling company) nobody else does. The whole club is extremely aligned in it's vision. They know their targets for players and staff in every detail. Nothing is accidental.
