I want to make something with the fine lilac thread/yarn, so I'm refreshing my doily knowledge with something bulkier and less microscopic. Probably this hook is too big, but I like it, I can use a smaller hook if it's completely ridiculous. Just have to have 12 double crochets (american) in a magic ring to start, I've lost all memory of how to make a magic ring. It's like falling off a bicycle, it'll come back to me 😆

This is cool, I'll stop tooting about getting well after this. I couldn't eat, I lost 30 pounds over the last months, down to my ideal high school weight, (135 lbs) was that my intent? Anyway I've gone to the taco truck a few times, had a couple of bites, tossed the rest

I just went there, ordered a couple of street tacos, and wolfed them down, like you're supposed to. They knew I wanted green salsa, said I looked good and grinned. Must be on my 8th life now. Maybe 9th, who's counting. A delicious relief. Who knew food could taste good.

Walking home from cat feeding last evening there were a *lot* of sirens, turns out there was a fire at the Ninkasi brewery, I could see the commotion when I could look down Blair (it's a diagonal street). I think they got it out fairly quickly, I haven't read much about it.
But I had no idea what had happened, and there were drones hovering around. Things are increasingly creepy. Got home and could see a drone from my window, so relaxing.

Both of my grandmothers had intricate starched doilies and things, and it never once crossed my mind to ask who made them, how did they keep them clean and starched (besides never touching them). Misspent youth. Life there was hazardous enough without getting too involved in lace 🤷

I'll be feeding a kitty next month at a place with strawberries, can't wait, I hope they're bearing by then. Seems early, but I'm really bad at predicting strawberries. There are tiny ones that grow in the dunes west of here, nearly the size of a dried chickpea, and almost impossible to pick without smooshing. So good. All of the really good local ones are impossible to ship very far. Not so great for anything needing more than a thimbleful 😆
