the "science" on carnivore-style diets vacillates, with both sides making very decent claims.

My personal opinion is they're great for rapid weight loss, but aren't sustainable long term, and they generally are much safer the younger you are. If your kidney score is below 90%, i'd avoid any of those types of diets due to the stress on your kidney and liver.

So you take all your shoes and you put boric acid in them, till the insides are white and a little bit of the acid slides around if you shake the shoe.

Like, instead of paying >$50 for a balun for a vertical antenna (or a crappy offset dipole) you can just wind 10 meters of spare coax around a soda or bleach bottle (you know the size) and zip tie it in that form. it's a transformer, a balance to unbalanced transformer.

there was a software i used 15 years ago or so that was like jellyfin and plex called TVersity that managed transcoding, at the time they charged a bit of money so you could get the transcoding settings for every device on the market, and updates, etc.

it did all of this. Synology Video service, whatever it was called, also managed this perfectly.

And the DLNA worked. And the SMB was *fast* so vlc could browse huge folders.

jellyfin and plex are *slow*.

i just have a lot of videos, that aren't in like scene release format. i rip a lot on my own, so the ISO will be next to the rips i make, and that just confuses every "media manager".

i did test 6 cookwares and all six did not heat, but 3 in different ways. the aluminum or steel pans with magnetic bottoms would "click. click. click-click" in a spooky cycle. cast iron no noise no heat.

ordered a 240VAC dual induction hob "in counter" thing, wired it up, didn't heat. sent for a replacement, wired it up, same thing, didn't heat. exact same failure condition. unit powers on, says it's heating, but never heats.

So i called an elechicken friend and they said "chinesium, probably. wire the hob ground to red, hob L1 to ground, hob L2 to black and see what happens."

i thought i could short test ground to chassis but there's no metal anywhere i can reach with my probe.

i noticed the memory leak in that suddenly the last part before mp3-ify was slow, but i've experienced this with *good* ML software. it just starts shuttling to the main RAM. Luckily i think all of the "stuff" needed to continue the workflow (as the intention is to collaborate with the AI rather than 1-shot it) is in the .json and the mp3 output.

i actually added that rule about 1 hour in, but i factory reset dd-wrt a few times and none of the guides, wikis, LLMs, reddit posts, etc mentioned having to MANUALLY ADD DHCPv6 RULES

speaking of "file destination" did you know windows saves all screenshots in your user folder? I don't want it, they are ephemeral until i commit them to disk (mine, or someone else's).

if you start moving goalposts, obviously the numbers change. if you change it to 75 years of 80, for instance, you get 8 stations "fully rural" in Antarctica.

anyhow i stated it explicitly. it is arbitrary, of course, but if you look at your map, just realize that the vast majority of those (more than 70% globally, more than 90% in the US) are fully urban or intermediate stations.
