Yeah, Spreaker can do that; it's weird. If I set that "Manage RSS" option to "enabled" (which is the default), it will publish a Spreaker-hosted RSS feed with added elements, kind of like Feedburner's old SmartCast feature worked.

In fact, do you remember a couple of years ago that my own podcast was duplicated in the Index? We traced that to the scraped Spreaker RSS feed that I didn't realize was being created by Spreaker.

I'm not being sarcastic here, but try asking Sonnet, Opus, or GPT-5.4 or 5.3-Codex. I've used those models more and more (via Cursor) and they helped me optimize my own engine from using 20 servers for 2–3 hours to only 10 servers in 30 minutes!

Since iOS 14.5, Apple does essentially own the "RSS feed" in Apple Podcasts because they proxy the feed and serve only from their proxy. HLS video is now another thing they will host through their proxy.

Even their chapter support relies on MP3 chapters first and uses their proprietary "timed links" instead of the open standards of chapter links (legacy or P2.0).

Did you know we actually don't know and can't even measure if light travels at the same speed in all directions? BTW, this reminds me of a proposal from someone (maybe it was even me?) to support this kind of thing natively. Like allowing you to add "product" hyperlinks with Amazon ASIN, Apple ID numbers, and similar codes for resource-linking. If you upload video into Spotify, it replaces your audio media with audio from the video (breaking your stats and dynamic content-insertion). So at that point, you're soup-to-nut on Spotify for Spotify.

I was originally planning to launch with Whisper 3 via Groq, which is also very fast and cheaper. But it doesn't have the nice features that DeepGram has. I found that Whisper segments transcripts better than Deepgram when there's music in the background. But I built PodChapters to make its own segments from the "word" transcripts.
