**Raising 1 BCH to Power Real Adoption in Mozambique.**

We’re raising 1 BCH for our next meetup — and every bit goes directly into onboarding new users and growing real Bitcoin Cash adoption in Mozambique.

Just like we did last month, this month we are once again pushing toward that goal to make our next BCH meetup possible.

Right now, we still don’t have a solid infrastructure to fully support the growing number of people attending, the materials needed, or the ability to invest properly in merch and promotional items that give BCH a strong presence locally.

We need essential materials like banners (the one I have is already worn out and needs replacing), BCH shirts, caps, keychains, and more. These are given out for free to attendees to attract and engage them. Over time, as adoption grows, the plan is for people to start purchasing these items using BCH they earn and use — building a real circular economy.

This is a long-term vision. And it requires consistency, hard work, and persistence.

I could run a one-time fundraiser — but that’s not the point.
This is about monthly community support, where the global BCH community stands behind real adoption happening on the ground.

We’ve already proven this works:
3 successful meetups completed — real people onboarded, real usage happening.

Now we’re heading toward the 4th meetup on April 25.

In March, we reached half of the goal — and still delivered results.

🚀 BCH Meetup Mozambique — Quick Recap

Last Saturday’s BCH Meetup was a success despite the February heat here in Mozambique. We took BCH to the streets, onboarded newcomers, opened new wallets, and distributed Cashstamps.

Participants included a gym owner, two students, and two workers — all now committed to using and promoting BCH in their daily environments. Beyond the meetup, additional Cashstamps were shared in the parish community, with football players on Sunday, and three were given to the gym owner to distribute to his students.

Across the first and second meetups, we now have 11 BCH ambassadors growing grassroots adoption — one person at a time. 💚

**Our meetup is finally tomorrow, February 21**. I’m not promising too much, but every young person and curious mind who shows up will experience the best BCH meetup yet.

For many, this will be their first crypto encounter, and it won’t be easy to absorb everything at once. But I will give my maximum to educate everyone about Bitcoin Cash. After all, BCH has no borders and empowers anyone who wants to learn more about decentralized money.

At our last meetup on December 20, I already highlighted the importance of BCH compared to mobile wallets like M-Pesa and E-mola — and tomorrow I’ll continue on that path.

I’ll also introduce more tools such as Selene Wallet, BCHat, and others that will help people better understand and use BCH.

Thankfully, we have support from Cashstamps, and participants will leave with some BCH in their wallets — sparking curiosity about what they can do with it. I’m truly excited about this meetup.

Less than 4 days to go until our BCH meetup in Mozambique, where we will be talking with young students about Bitcoin Cash, what it is, how it works, and much more.

For the past few days, I’ve been leading a small movement on X to raise funds so we can host this meetup with some dignity. Of course, I will personally contribute as well, but external support is always welcome. After all, I’m proud of the BCH community for its unconditional support when it comes to real-world onboarding across the globe.

First of all, I want to thank those who always support initiatives like this and are willing to invest what little they have in these causes. Causes that truly amplify the reach of BCH in the real world. The race by major crypto exchanges to enter the African market is not random. Africa has a young population, growing business opportunities, and huge potential for real crypto adoption.

While many people are still learning about this space, the cryptocurrencies that will succeed in Africa are the ones that are usable, affordable, and accessible. Young Africans are already earning money online and need practical tools to save and spend across borders.

I live in a country where I use Bitcoin Cash (BCH) daily, and I also run a growing business that accepts it. Despite the propaganda that BTC is widely used in Africa, this is not true for most people.

The minimum wage in many African countries is under $100. Using BTC with high transaction fees makes no sense in this reality — people would lose a big part of their income just to move their money. This is why BCH is far more viable and practical for Africans.

To promote real adoption, I organize regular BCH meetups to explain how it works and how it can be used in the local Mozambican economy. On February 21st, I will host another meetup and invite everyone to participate. I am paying attention to X on all this Epstein drama and BTC is been called PedoCoin by many accounts.

Some still arguing and denying the truth but, like they did with the whitepaper, transforming it from digital cash from store of value, it won't work. Is clear that Epstein sponsored by multimillion companies and individuals, took control of Blockstream, got Adam Back into his pocket.

Rumors are that Mossad, CIA and all those shadow organizations are behind that hijack using Epstein to do their "dirty work" but this is more complex and profound than this.

This time we'll be with students brought in by my daughter and I hope to turn this into a BCH party so that they can feel how warm the community is to welcome newbies.

We'll be talking about Selene, BCH story, why we need decentralized currencies, why this is better than M-pesa and E-mola, etc, where our focus is to educate this generation to become future ambassadors of the community.

They are young and full of energy but many doesn't have literacy into crypto so, our approach will be cautious and on point to build a strong BCH community in Mozambique.

I would love to gift them some t-shirts, hats or even socks (the same we had in our last meetup) but my stock of this is limited and need to increase it. I know that usable Bitcoin in Africa is BCH. OFC there's a huge propaganda that BTC is winning in Africa but that isn't true.

It is impossible to use BTC with all those fees behind. Majority of people in Africa are poor and mostly illiterate. They can't learn to use LN and understand why they need it but;

Using a layer1 solution that doesn't need much effort to teach is much more viable, easy, and more sustainable to learn. I am not saying this without actual proof but getting feedback from people who I find in my adventures tru Maputo and Matola.

What people use is the name "Bitcoin" to try dribble people into thinking that they are spreading BTC when they are actual using BCH;
- lower fees,
- fast transactions,
- universal money,
- the Satoshi intended currency,
- working for everyone,
- doesn't need permission and is Quantum resistant.

Sometimes when I post the wallet doesn't charge me with means even if someone comment under me, which in practice is a small tip, I won't get that.

I told Jeremy about it and he explain that is a feature on the nostr. But I believe in more updates Selene will be more synchronized then all those micro tips will get their destination.😊💚

**In Africa** most of the people live below a dollar. Many are young and full of energy to work. Unfortunately there's no available jobs to englobe all of them and most end up in the informal sector.

They end up being recharge sellers, M-pesa or E-mola agents, and more informal work that they find rewarding for their efforts. Even so, the majority aren't prepared for the financial sector and make mistakes to use mobile wallets to store or move around their "hard earned money".

Just FYI this mobile wallets are expensive to use and anytime users can lose their access to it, get their money frozen and all their funds locked until they can source for example, a provenience of income. Banks now their work in the informal sector but hit them hard on this taking advantage of a law that support them in this.

Most of them end up not depositing on this services and store their money home with all risks that comes.

For all of this, when I get opportunity I explain to them how they can use BCH to overcome all **that.** But it isn't easy to explain this as most of them aren't literate that increase my level of difficult to communicate with them. Oh, even so i don't stop and I use local language to communicate all the advantages to store BCH and use it when they need.

My Allie on this is CHAPA BCH as they see the branding and know that "if I have that printed in a vehicle is because it works". My very first goal this year is to get enough people to use BCH no matter of it's a student, a vendor, a seller, a company, alien... As long they embrace BCH I will be happy.

Bitcoin Cash is for the people so they should know about it and its advantages in real life.

**I love Selene** and I use it daily but, BCH have another wallets that deserve some good spotlight and of those ones is Paytaca.

Paytaca is coming up as a good wallet to use and becoming also a huge platform. This wallet is more than just a storage: is something more!

Lately I’ve been paying close attention to what CashMint is building for Bitcoin Cash, and honestly it feels like one of those missing pieces we really needed in the ecosystem.

BCH already had the tech for NFTs with CashTokens. That part was solved. What we didn’t have was a clean, modern place where normal people could just mint, buy, sell and auction NFTs without needing to be a developer or jump through ten tools.

I have read on here a concern from a user to understand how much energy BTC and BCH spent and which one is more eco friendly.
BCH is more eco friendly due to its large blocks than BTC but;
I don't see neither BCH or BTC being a big issue to the environment.

They spend electric power but no more than actual industries existent in the market. In my province, Maputo, here in Mozambique, we have one of the largest aluminum industry in Africa - **the Mozal**. This guys alone spend too much energy that can feed half of our habitational zone.
