i hang most of mine on indoor racks but a few things get dried. the other day i had only two towels and it seemed both wasteful and unpleasant to contemplate running the dryer as it was 100 degrees (38C), so i squeezed them into the indoor laundry drying scheme and they did indeed dry fast

(i rent, shared laundry room, would not be allowed to put a pole or lines up)

i was *just* thinking about this the other day. in MN growing up we had a push mower and clothesline; but here in SoCal where laundry would actually dry nearly instantly outside, i've never seen anyone dry laundry outside

i'm thinking of opening new semesters by saying that there are two reasons they can't use AI; one is i give a shit about their education and the other is i give a shit about my time

it doesn't mean our interpretive skills are infallible, but it does mean we have a big leg up e.g. quickly discerning whether claims ostensibly sourced from our course readings are in fact in our course readings... like... what
